  “I visited this Beefeater during a solo trip to Glasgow and I was also staying at the connected Premier Inn so it was convenient for food options. As I’d been out and about most of the day I went down for dinner at 7:30pm and there was still plenty of tables available despite there being quite a few people already seated. The staff members were nice and friendly and quick to take my order for my main. I opted for a steak followed by a dessert of sticky toffee pudding. Staff weren’t as quick to take my dessert order and I did feel like I was waiting around a lot until someone came over which was a little frustrating when I just wanted to eat and go back to my room to rest. The food was nice, steak a bit over done than what I preferred but overall not bad. I mainly used this venue for food for the first evening I was staying at the hotel so it was convenient in that respect. Staff were nice enough just a little slow at times. Payment for the bill was straight forward enough but once again had to call someone over to ask for it didn’t seem to be too attentive in that respect. Overall it’s decent enough if you want to grab some food if you’re staying at the premier inn but wouldn’t rush to eat there specifically and I would see if there’s any other restaurants to choose from in the area.”

  “Ordered garlic mushrooms, this was just frozen rubbish and solid, you couldn’t even put a fork through the deep fried crust. Ordered rib eye, chips were poorly cooked, steak was rubbish quality and the steak sauce was literally just brown sauce mixed with some steak juice. Really poor hadn’t been to a beefeater for a while and won’t be back to one. Young lad serving was pleasant enough, just a shame he didn’t continue the service throughout ans the others were just not interested and they didn’t ask how my meal was. Credit to the young man, he was just busy and running circles around the other staff. Poor atmosphere could just here the chefs radio.”

  “Very friendly and attentive staff and clean and tidy restaurant which is very family friendly. I had the harissa salmon which was really very lovely and my husband had the surf and turf burger which was also nice. Unfortunately the puddings were absolutely terrible. We both ordered the chocolate orange bread and butter pudding which looked nothing like the pictures on the menu and was basically pieces of stale bread in custard in a dish. Really disappointing as the mains were lovely!”

  “Have visited this Beefeater on many occasions for breakfast and we’ve never been disappointed. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. Today’s staff were Sam, Niamh, Alana and Scott (the chef). WHAT A TEAM!! Despite being very, VERY busy they made sure everyone was made welcome, they stocked up continuously and dealt with a multitude of requests from customers (all dealt with, with a smile). What a credit to the company.”

  “Beef eater? More like leather eater. Ordered steak sampler, medium rare. All three samples came out medium-well-done. Like chewing leather. Too hunger to ask them to take it back. Gentleman at the table behind us complained of done-ness and sent steak back to kitchen.”

  “Pleasant enough steakhouse, as a beefeater if you have been to one before you largely know what you are getting. The premises is very clean with excellent accessibility to local services located right in the centre of hamilton about 10 minutes walk from central station. Staff were courteous, steaks themselves are quite pleasant though the blue cheese sauce tastes a little synthetic”

  “Great hotel. Staff really friendly and happy to help. Beefeater is also good. As we were on meal deal and there for 17 days we decided to mix it up a bit and eat out too. The food in the beefeater was great and the staff brilliant. No complaints. For fresh towels and room cleaned you only had to mention it to reception and it was sorted. Great premier inn👍”

  “I visited on my own on 12th February and although very busy the young man who greeted me managed to get me a table. I ordered from the starter menu as I had had an iffy tummy so wanted something light. As it happened I took advantage of the 3 starters for 14.95. They came quickly and were generous portions but I managed to cope. The food was good and compared well with eateries regarded as more upmarket. The lad who attended to me for all his young years was excellent. Polite attentive and helpful. Very professional. Unfortunately I have now forgotten his name. His colleague who shared the order taking was equally helpful and patient. I am a person who respects good service and would recommend this establishment.”

  “I really enjoyed my mixed grill and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately many menu items had sold out. I had to ask twice for ketchup and twice for the bill. The venue was lovely though and I’d probably still come again.”

  “A very well presented Beefeater. The staff were friendly, courteous and well organised. Food was well prepared and cooked. There are toilets on site. There is parking nearby in the form of a pay and display car park at a reasonable rate.”
