Customer Review Summary
Tacos draw the most praise, especially the Tacos Al Pastor, which one regular pairs with courgettes, and the beef brisket tacos, which one reviewer who lived in Mexico City says carry the same flavours as home. Close behind are the Cochinita Pibil, tender and juicy with guacamole and sour cream, plus empanadas and grilled lamb chops with a light pineapple salsa. Reviewers also mention friendly staff and a variety of habanero sauces. Two reviews are critical. One found tacos giving off liquid, table sauces empty, and a corner table crammed with two others in a quiet room, while a chef said one second and never came back with more condiments. The other found the beef chimichanga small for the price, the music loud, and was moved to a small table behind the kitchen. One busy birthday table still saw the owner apologise for limited attention, and another diner enjoyed watching the food being made right beside them.

“Great Mexican food! The empanadas and the beef brisket tacos were 😍 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 cocktails and a bottle of red for £90! Definitely coming back 🇲🇽”

“I usually avoid this restaurant as I hardly ever carry enough cash for the bill. They only take cash. I went in today at 11 and was told to come back in 15-20 minutes. I ordered the beef chimichanga. For £15, it was a bit small for the 2 pieces on the plate. The taste was good, fresh and had some garnish on it. Being a tex-mex foodie, I never had garnish on them but, ok. Chimichanga typically come drowned in cheese and a side of salsa. At least it is like that in San Diego, Dallas and other southern US areas. The non-Mexican music, mostly Venezuelan and Colombian music was loud and I politely asked if they could lower it. I like to sit in areas where I can watch all the action but was requested to move to the smaller table behind the kitchen area and I could not see anything except their equipment. They had a variety of habanero sauces, which was nice. The paintings and other decor where nice. A Mexican restaurant and food is very different to what was in the menu, which were Tex-Mex cuisine. I don't yet know if I will return. The surly chef was a put off. The lovely Latina lady was superb.”

“We had a fantastic family birthday meal. Food and atmosphere was amazing. We all enjoyed our dishes. The place was very busy which is always a good sign. The owner is a lovely lady and she apologised for not being able to give us the attention she wanted. The staff were really good. Loved the food and the beer. Excellent night out in Guildford. Thsnk you guys.”

“Had a wonderful dinner with friends here! The restaurant is decorated with lots of vibrant colour. I loved that we could see all our food being made in the kitchen right next to us. Restaurant was also air conditioned! Food and drink were all delicious. Lots of selection and choices for different dietary requirements. Staff were super friendly and went the extra mile with the little details. I felt like I was in a friend's kitchen being cooked for! Highly recommend and will be back again for sure!”
