About V-Namese
V-Namese is a Vietnamese restaurant in Great Yarmouth, at 32-33 St Peter's Rd, open daily. Vegan pho and a mixed vegan starter give plant-based diners a full run through the menu, alongside beef noodle dishes such as rice noodle salad with beef. The children's meal deal brings noodles, vegan prawn crackers, water and toys in one set. It is a small restaurant where food is cooked to order, so a modest wait is usual. Staff bring out a cake for birthday celebrations.

Customer Review Summary
Noodle dishes lead the praise, especially the beef noodle soup, whose clear broth reviewers say is full of flavour, and a rice noodle salad with beef described as tender and rich. Summer rolls come close behind, while grilled pork, vermicelli, ribs, chicken wings, fried rice and prawn spring rolls are also singled out. One reviewer says the banana fritters with ice cream alone make them want to revisit. Diners describe the food as fresh, authentic and generous in portion, and several call it reasonable value. Vegan diners mention a mixed vegan starter and vegan pho. The main caveat is pace: one reviewer waited longer than expected, and another notes a small kitchen cooking to order meant a modest wait. Staff are repeatedly called lovely, and birthday celebrations ended with a cake, a card or a present, including a bottle of Hanoi beer handed over on the way out.

“Took my wife here so she could try Pho for the very first time. We were highly impressed with it all. If we lived in the area we would definitely return back here again. They have great options for vegans too.”

“Celebrated my dad's 80th here recently and all really loved it. Every dish was delicious. Summer rolls, vermicelli noodles and grilled pork and V Namese chicken wings all highlights but everything was great and really excellent value. Lovely staff and came with a card, cake and present at the end of the meal which was really appreciated. Looking forward to coming back again. Definitely our favourite spot in Yarmouth/this part of Norfolk.”

“Hands down best Vietnamese food I’ve had in my life (so far). If I lived in Great Yarmouth I’d be eating here every day. Grilled meats had a nice char to it, rice noodles had a wok umami flavor to it. The nice lady running the restaurant was lovely too.”

“Vietnamazing! 🇻🇳 We were recommended this restaurant by friends, and I’m so pleased we gave it a try. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavour from start to finish. The summer rolls were absolutely delicious, the ribs packed a real punch, and the noodles were equally tasty. The Hanoi beer went down a treat too. We were celebrating my birthday, and the team made it extra special by bringing over some cake, which was a lovely touch. As we were leaving, they even gave me a bottle of Hanoi beer to take home as a birthday gift – such a thoughtful gesture. The service was exceptional throughout. If you enjoy Vietnamese food, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. I would recommend making a reservation. Thank you for making my birthday celebration so memorable. 🙏”

“Real gem of a find. The food was made to order, the balance of spices was perfect and there was a freshness to the flavours. Portion size felt generous. Its a small kitchen and with food cooked to order there was a modest wait but not unreasonable given the quality. Cost was very reasonable - a starter and main was just over £20/head.”
