“I think because they going to close they don't care, we been charged extra, just because they took orders and don't talk each other, we ask for Fish and chips what it was Monday to Friday for £5.99. One of the girl she say it wasn't available that but will be for 8£ and they been charged £13.79. What is a bit ridiculous as it wasn't nothing special, and the crust was suggy. Now we know why they closing.”

“Staying next door at the Premier Inn I booked a full breakfast and a Sunday Carvery. Both were excellent value for money and the food quality and preparation was exceptional. The only negative that stopped a 5 star rating was the fact that last orders was at 2200. Charming staff. Don’t forget to book as tables can be hard to obtain at busy times. UPDATE 300826: This great eating establishment is soon closing to non Premier Inn residents and guests. The Sunday Carvery will no longer exist which is a tragedy as it was fantastic. Residents breakfasts and evening meals can be booked as usual. Hopefully there will be beer without food in the evenings for guests but if not the pub in town is excellent and walkable if you don’t want to drive or shouldn’t.”
  • Tom Woods
“Good food but portions were small, especially the starters. Staff and atmosphere were both great but expensive for the amount of food you get - for example it was £6-£8 for a garlic mushroom starter which was 6 tiny garlic mushrooms. I'd avoid starters and just get a main and a refillable drink. Sundaes were good too.”
  • Sue Osman
“Returned after a week's break. I had exactly the same as last week, started with crispy prawns followed by smothered chicken. My husband had garlic mushrooms followed by mixed grill, accompanied by glasses of white and red wine respectively. We'll have the breakfast tomorrow as on the meal deal again, last week was very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”
