Customer Review Summary
Reviewers are split since the new owners took over, with service the sharpest divide. Enthusiastic diners describe food that is delicious, rich in flavour and fantastic, with polite, prompt staff. One notes a team member went out to buy an item the kitchen lacked, and several call the prices reasonable and the atmosphere warm and cozy. More measured accounts find the chicken roulade with spinach and Parma ham a bit dry and the garlic bread doughy, though that diner plans to return. The harsher reviews describe a stretched front of house. A party of nine stood around before anyone greeted them, and courses arrived in stages, so some starters landed after others had finished. One opening-night diner waited over an hour for starters. They called the prawn cocktail mostly lettuce, the caprese unseasoned and the mushrooms too salty, then received a dry, greasy lasagne and no apology when they said the meal fell short. Another found the pizza undercooked.

“It was exceptionally quiet but excellent service and food was amazing even went out and purchased a item they didn't have. I am definitely going to visit again. There menu has a lot of different choices I haven't tried. Definitely worth going.”

“Thought hard about this review . Our 1st visit since the restaurant was taken over by new owners . Straight away the difference was noticeable. Our party of 9 arrived and there was know one to greet us , stood around for 5 minutes before I had to approach the kitchen to ask if there was anyone around . The front of house was just one young lad who had to serve all the tables , take the orders and pour the drinks . That's the reason for the 1 * for service ,BUT no fault of the you lad who did his best on his own. The quality of the food was ok ,not up to the standard of the previous chefs. Another reason for the low stars for service was that the food was brought to the table in stages . Some starters arrived after others had finished theirs - if they had waited thier food would have gone cold . Same story with the mains. Simply not good enough in my opinion. I did not want to be so harsh in this review but if they don't know how will they improve. I hope they can improve and get back to how it was previously ,otherwise I can see people not using them which would be a shame .”

“We went yesterday as a party of 3. The young man serving us was really helpful, and friendly. The menu was similar to the previous owners just a little shorter. Overall the food was good, tasty and hot. We had starters followed by a main. One of us had garlic bread as a starter and it was a little undercooked making it doughy. Two of us had chicken in a roulade with spinach and Parma ham, served with mash and white wine sauce. I thought the chicken was a bit dry and some vegetables would have been nice. However, we will return and I'll probably ask for some carrots or green beans to accompany my meal.”
