Quick info
About Zolsha
Zolsha is an Indian restaurant at 4 Bridgegate in Goole, set in a compact, modern room with white walls and leather sofas. The menu is kept short so that dishes are cooked to order, and it includes vegetarian dishes alongside the Naga Tarkari. A buffet is also on offer, and a banquet deal runs during the week with a complimentary drink included. Payment is cash only and the restaurant takes no cards, so diners bring cash or use a local cash machine.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, calling it tasty, authentic and aromatic, with the Naga Tarkari singled out by a camper who was sent by locals. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, welcoming and helpful, including a team that still made time for out-of-town visitors on a busy night. Reviewers also mention a decent selection of veggie dishes and a reduced menu that lets every dish be cooked to order. One diner found the weekday banquet deal great value, with a complimentary drink as an extra. Several note the place is busy, and one suggests booking a table in advance. Complaints are few but specific: a booked table that came after a long wait, no drinks menu so alcohol prices were unclear, and one party who had to rush to a cash machine before they could pay. A long-standing returning family found the food better than ever after the refurbishment.

“We have been going to Zolsha’s for 15 years and were happy to visit during our return to Howden. The food was better than ever and the recent refurbishment is beautiful. The menu is reduced which allows all dishes to cooked to order and they taste amazing. Even on a Monday it was nicely busy and had a lovely atmosphere”

“Stayed at a local campsite and this place was recommended by a couple of locals in Howden. Glad we went as the food was great especially the Naga Tarkari 😋. Prices very good as was the service”

“Booked a table for last night 10th May 2026 for four people, the food was superb as always and the staff were a 10/10. We had to then rush to the local cash machine and hope it was working to get the cash out. The only issue is the owner Ash not taking cards as payment, come on Ash, working people pay their taxes and so should you too.”

“Went with family for the first time 18/5/26 and out of four of us I am the only one who doesn’t much like Indian food! However I chose wisely and loved my meal. The others also really enjoyed the food. Service excellent too. Will definitely be returning!”
