“Disappointed with our visit to Elote this evening - a real shame as we had been looking forward to trying the food and had seen great reviews. Asked for onions and mayo on the side of the plate (as my partner does not like these) - our food took a really long time to come, and we were later told that the chef had to re-plate the food as he prepared it with onions. Food finally arrived but still had onions mixed into it and was cold. Wine was good but that was the only saving grace. Our baby was getting fussy at this point so my partner quickly paid and we left - later realised he was charged a bit more (around £4) than the cost of our food and drink...? Assuming this was some kind of service charge? Not really impressed under the circumstances. Wouldn't return.”
