  “The best ice cream by a country mile. I used to travel to Wholly Gelato’s dairy farm for ice cream and there was always an endless queue with regularly update new flavours. It’s so convenient now to buy at Gloucester Food Dock or Gloucester Services to get an ice cream fix! The flavoured milk available is produced by a fun novelty machine, great for kids. The staff are always happy for you to taste the ice cream first, although this can be a nuisance when you are waiting in line for yours. The Food Dock has a lot to offer so it’s worth a journey and a great sweet treat at the end of the day, they stay open late. Coffee and hot chocolate get a thumbs up too. There’s space to sit in, so don’t forget about it in the winter months.”

  “In lieu of not being able to give 4.5*, let’s round up. Good choices of ice cream in various forms. Friendly staff and always busy after dinner. Nice views of the docks if you dine it too. Highly recommend. (Sorry forgot to add a photo as the ice cream was long gone before I had the chance)”

  “Just a superb business and I’m sure an absolute gold mine! I visit multiple times a week for my glass of milk mid-cycle and to carry out work on my laptop. The staff are awesome, friendly and fair with the pricing and strange requests I make.”

  “My son loves ice cream, we had to visit this place and the truth is we are not disappointed the ice cream is delicious. The staff was super nice also they adjusted the size of the ice cream for our taste. You can ask for samples or less ice cream if you feel like standard is to much as the portions are huge.”

  “A lovely gem in the Docks. I often purchase the coffees, whole milk, and 'Wholly Milk' gelato. The quality of the products is impeccable, as are the hygiene standards. They use real ingredients, so their coffee gelato includes actual coffee beans, not essence. The staff are kind and attentive and if you present with an allergy or intolerance, they immediately wear new gloves and have separate, untouched gelato to serve. As a student, I must say that I am pleased that this lovely spot is open late, too.”

  “Great ice cream, flavours were amazing and service was fast considering how busy it was. I chose pistachio and coffee and hands down coffee was the best 👌🏼 Price was reasonable too. Would definitely come again 😊”

  “What a little gem of a shop, the icecream will live rent free in my head for the rest of my days, I had a two scoop cherry icecream in a wafer cone and it was insane, made locally at the wholly farm, the cheery icecream tasted like cherry bakewell and it was just incredible, if you stuck on what to get the staff allow you to try a lil bit of any of the flavours, I tried the banoffee and could taste actual bananas in the icecream, not banana flavouring actual bananas, then I tried the cherry and instantly had to have it, can't wait to take the wife, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable couldnt rate this place higher than 5 stars but I wish I could. See you again soon”

  “Had an amazing experience at **Wholly Gelato**! The waffle with ice cream was absolutely epic—crispy, indulgent, and packed with flavour. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The shop is located in Gloucester Docks on the first floor. It’s a small space with limited indoor seating, but on a nice day you can enjoy your dessert outside by the docks, which adds to the experience. The ice creams are delicious and reasonably priced too, which makes it even better. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a great dessert spot—I’ll definitely be back! 🍦”

  “What a perfect place for a sweet treat. The gelato is creamy without being too sweet. Located in Gloucester food dock, perfect to stop by for a coffee or ice cream after a meal. There is limited indoor seating but it is dog friendly. There is even a fresh milk vending machine with multiple flavours to take home.”

  “It's rumoured that Jimi Hendrix wrote his hit Voodoo Child whilst enjoying a small bowl of ice cream in Wholly Gelato. The wonderful people who work there seemed to realise that something really big was going down and left Jimi to do his thing, thoughtful young ladies. Took me an age to find, mostly due to my own stupidity, even wandered into the gaff below before being pointed in the right direction. Up. Relaxed atmosphere, made me feel at home, serving a pretty decent coffee ☕️ with an acceptable amount of swirliness on the top. A friend of mine said I should have a ....... sounded like avocado 🥑, but it wasn't. Shame I couldn't remember 'cos my mate said they're pretty special at Wholly Gelato, particularly the banana ones. Something to do with ice cream with coffee poured on top. I remember now! It's affogato! Think I'll write that on the back of my hand to remind me next time I'm in Gloucester. Loads of other munchables available too.”
