A 19th-century former railway station houses 1051 GWR, a Scottish restaurant and bar on Great Western Road in Glasgow. “Please ignore all the nice menus that you see on the website. They don't exist. The menu was a very basic affair. I had the Sunday lunch. 2 generous slices of beef were nice but that's all that was edible. Roast potatoes were like bullets - dry and inedible. Carrots & parsnips were dried up and crusty. Red cabbage was very sweet. I paid £22 for 2 slices of beef because everything else was inedible. My wife had mussels, which were small and tasteless. It appeared that they had been stewing all day. The creamy garlic sauce was just over the top. She likes garlic but there was just too much of it. Very disappointing, we will not be back.”

“We had our wedding meal here on 20.8.25 and had the best experience. Aidan and the team were very attentive and the service was amazing. Met all our demands with food and drink and catered my husband to his fussy needs which was a win. Food itself was phenomenal the whole party was raving about it all night and everyone was so full hats off to the chef. Would recommend here and definitely would come back in the future.”
