About Firewater
Firewater is a nightclub in Glasgow at 341 Sauchiehall St, playing funk, punk rock'n'roll and disco across two dance floors under one roof since 2001. The bar makes drinks to order, including a flaming drink prepared in front of the customer. Bouncers staff the door, and a cloakroom takes jackets for the night. A student night brings a queue to get in. A billiards table is also available, with a deposit taken for use.

Customer Review Summary
Thursday student night draws the most mentions, with reviewers citing cheap drinks and friendly staff but describing a crowded night. One says the queue can drag on, and the cloakroom had stopped taking items by the time they got in, so they stood holding their jacket. Both dance floors are called small and cramped, and another reviewer found the DJ inexperienced, with odd experiments during the sets. Service complaints are specific. One regular was removed after a worker accused them of kicking the bathroom doors and no one listened to their explanation. Another was refused a billiards table deposit back because the cue and balls were left for waiting players instead of being returned to the bar, a rule they say they were never told. Praise for the bar sits close behind, including a bartender who made a tailored drink when the one wanted was unavailable. A separate diner enjoyed veggie spring rolls, king prawn with Sichuan sauce and prawn toast, with quick service. One reviewer closes on a bartender making a drink in front of them and setting it on fire.

“only came here for the Thursday night, dj was very inexperienced and kept doing weird experiments on the sets. dance floor is full of desperate ppl, can’t get through bc everyone’s trying to shove their tongues down each-others throat. not good if you just want to party with friends”

“This is my usual go to, but today I got kicked out after one of the workers in the bathroom accused me of kicking on the bathroom doors. When I explained this was not me no one listened. I would not recommend as they are too concerned about turnover rather than customer enjoyment, take this from someone who has worked in customer service for over 2 years xx”

“We haven't been for a few years but the food, service and atmosphere were just the same. Quick service and lovely food. We booked a table for 6pm which was just as well as I'd forgotten how busy a restaurant it is. Veggie spring rolls followed by king prawn with Sichuan sauce. Husband had prawn toast, was fab cos I had a bite! followed by king prawn curry and we both had fried rice.........#stuffed”
