About Bavaria Brauhaus
Bavaria Brauhaus is a German-style beer hall in Glasgow, at 30 Bothwell St, spread over two levels of a large building with wood-panelled walls. A live band plays most evenings from 8 to 10pm, so the hall suits a night out built around music and a drink. The beer selection is largely German, with bottles in the fridge and more on draught. Pours come in steins, pints, half pints or paddles, depending on how much a table wants to try. The kitchen serves German comfort food, including a sausage platter, bratwurst and pretzels. Gluten free food and a gluten free lager are also available.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the German beer, a large selection on draught and in the fridge, served in steins, pints or half pints, with one suggesting paddles for working through the range. One names an Augustiner Helles and a Hacker-Pschorr Kellerbier on tap. Food sits close behind. The sausage platter and bratwurst earn praise, along with pretzels, chips and filling German comfort food that brought back memories of Munich for one diner. A coeliac diner found plenty of gluten free dishes and a gluten free lager. The two-level building is called impressive, and the atmosphere feels like a real beer hall, though a few note it gets very busy and loud. One regular finds the chicken consistently dry and thinks food quality has slipped slightly. Staff are described as friendly, and one reviewer recalls a server going down to the cellar for a specific beer after the bar said it had run out.

“Really nice place in the centre of Glasgow. Proper Bavarian experience with great food and excellent and varied German ales. Very dog friendly too and ours was presented with a couple of mini bratwurst and a bowl of water which made her very happy. The food was excellent and not bad value either. Would certainly go again when I’m ever in Glasgow.”

“Best pub in Glasgow in my opinion, but that's just a biased opinion if you love German beers. The layout and atmosphere in here is absolutely cracking though, making you feel like you are drinking in a real German beer hall. The food matches the quality of the beer, highly recommend the sausage platter.”

“Great selection of German beers on taps and even more in the fridge, many styles as well, I had an Augustiner Helles on tap, a Hacker-Pschorr Kellerbier and a bratwurst, all excellent quality. Plus the building inside is impressive. No brainer to visit if you're in the city.”

“This place is always a blast. Inside this vibrant and beautiful building is a massive selection of delectable (and very moreish) German beers! Getting the steins is always fun, but I would definitely recommend the paddles or firing through plenty of half pints working your way through the collection. This is the first place I went when I turned 18!! The food is good while drinking, but I must admit the quality has gone down slightly. I consistently find the chicken is dry! If they can sort this out it would be 10/10 Solid 8.5/10 though. Staff are always really friendly in here though, so certainly makes up for any flaws. Cheers for all the lovely evenings I’ve had in here :)”
