  “Had a nice stay. The rooms were clean and there was a good selection of complimentary drinks. I would have liked the breakfast service to start earlier (8am on a Sunday), but I had a nice evening meal there and found the staff to be helpful and approachable. It was located in a good spot for me and the taxi I ordered arrived quickly.”

  “Just had 2 nights at the Ravensworth Arms. This is a very good pub with very good accommodation and a nice big car park This is an ideal pub as it's just off the A1 and if your visiting the Beamish Museum. All the staff are very Friendly and helpful and our room was nice and big and clean. We had two excellent meals on both evenings. We was looked after by Christine and nothing wasn't any trouble to make sure our stay was lovely . Also we thought our stay was good value for money. We will definitely be returning to the Ravensworth Arms on our next visit to Gateshead”

  “My wife and her sister found and booked this for our trip up to Beamish and Holy Island. I had never stayed at a pub before and didn’t know what to expect. We got there at check in time and found it quite nice and quiet. We had a single twin in one of the outbuildings. The room was clean, well equipment and comfortable. For those not used to European type rooms, the shower is small, but worked well. When they warn you about the very hot water, heed it. The only complaint I had and it’s a me thing is the hard bed. I’m a picky person with beds. Also, as I said above, don’t expect a queen or king bed. The room was small but not cramped. It had a nice TV, extra pillows, hair dryer, iron/board. On the table was a kettle for tea with a selection of teas and some coffees. We paid for the breakfast with our stay and it was great. We are dinner there and the food was delicious and filled me up. I don’t remember the fellows name who checked us in, but he was very nice and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.”

  “I felt compelled to write a review as we have visited the Ravensworth once again for Christmas lunch and it was another fantastic experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was presented beautifully but more importantly it was absolutely delicious! And the staff were amazing, they are friendly and cheerful and I really feel that they go above and beyond to create a lovely experience. This is the fourth year in a row and I already have my booking in for next year. This is one of our favourite pubs, I really enjoy visiting here as it always has a relaxed friendly vibe. I would definitely recommend the Ravensworth for any occasion.”
