About Burrito Buoy

Burrito Buoy is a Mexican restaurant on Tontine Street in Folkestone, running as a restaurant, bar and cocktail bar under one roof. The kitchen works in a Mexican street food register, with burritos that arrive stuffed to roughly the size of a head, packed with meat and built so they often need a fork to finish. The menu carries vegan and vegetarian lines, and the team will rework a dish for gluten-free or vegan needs, with several house-made sauces to set the heat. Dogs are welcome inside, and the halal kitchen covers dietary requirements on request. A small patio out the back handles extra seating when the room fills up. Cocktails and a wine list run through the bar, and the space settles into a lunch and evening service.

“Amazing food, super friendly staff and incredible service. Honestly cannot fault it! The portions are huge but do not scrimp on the quality and taste! We ordered loads of food and drinks and thought the value was good”

“Omg!! What amazing food! Being vegan I can't normally get Mexican food, but there was a vegan option for everything they did. I got a burrito with vegan cheese. It was fully loaded and absolutely delicious!! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for being so inclusive and yummy! 😋💚”
  • Fiona Parker
“Excellent staff, food delicious though very large but tasty portions!”
  • Chantelle Weaver
“We were pleasantly surprised how good this place was, we went quite late on a weekday so it was practically empty and we weren't expecting much but the food was amazing, the portions were great and the staff are friendly. If you can make it to the end of a burrito without reaching for a fork you did better than all of us they are so stuffed that the structural integrity wanes near the end. They had a lot of sauces some of which were apparently home made and all tasty. Well priced. Due to the warm weather we ate in the small patio area in the back rather than inside.”
