Quick info
About Cafe Corvina
Cafe Corvina is a family-run Italian restaurant and coffee shop at 34-38 Grahams Rd in Falkirk, set in the former Antonios Restaurant site that was previously Sepia. The restaurant menu includes garlic bread, and the coffee shop side carries a selection of cakes and bakery goods, including homemade Empire biscuits. Cafe Corvina and Antonio's operate as separate parts of one place, which lets the business cover both a sit-down Italian meal and a coffee and cake stop. The building sits next to the Graeme hotel and opposite Petworld, close to Grahamston railway station and within walking distance of the retail park.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, and the fresh food that comes with them. Individual dishes named include a bruschetta of juicy tomatoes with basil, a calzone, pumpkin-filled ravioli, garlic bread, and an off-menu frutti di mare spaghetti one regular says is always fresh. Another stop for coffee praises the homemade Empire biscuits and the selection of cakes. One family also credits staff with handling gluten-free and dairy-free guests well. Complaints are scattered but specific. One group found a fillet steak with hand-cut chips quite bare on the plate and a prawn sauce very runny, and they were put off by two loud tables that were not asked to quieten down. The same reviewer objected to a added tip that must be requested off the bill. Others found the tiramisu not good, the mushroom fritti plain, and one large party had a main course forgotten until they mentioned it, after which staff apologised and rushed it out.

“Lovely Italian restaurant with good vibes and tasty food and drink. Awesome staff who were extremely welcoming and attentive!”

“My son highly recommended Café Corvina so we decided to give it a try. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly waiter who promptly got our drinks and garlic bread. The garlic bread was delicious. However, the atmosphere was unfortunately noisy. Two tables of extremely loud customers made it difficult for us to converse. They shouted and screamed throughout our meal and were not asked to keep the noise down. The food was also disappointing. I ordered a fillet steak with hand-cut chips, which were tasty but the plate was quite bare. A side salad or vegetables would have been a nice addition. My partner’s prawn dish was also tasty but the sauce was very runny. Despite the great service, the food and atmosphere let our trip down. I would have given it a higher rating if the food and atmosphere had been better. Lastly the “complimentary “ tip Which is added to the bill and the customer must request being removed is also unacceptable, I always tip and don’t like this aggressive method .”

“This is a marvellous family run Coffee shop/restaurant next to Graeme hotel opposite Petworld in Falkirk. Also very close to Grahamston Railway station Cafe Corvina & Antonio's seem to be separate parts of one place. We simply popped in for coffee and cake after visiting The Pineapple House at Airth. Everything about this place is good Amazing selection of cakes and bakery goods. Best homemade Empire biscuits ever🤪 Staff are so helpful and friendly and the decor is lovely and cozy inside. It was surprisingly warm today, so much so that we sat outside at pavement tables. Spring had sprung. Thank you. We shall endeavour to return when next we are in town.”

“Fabulous food, excellent friendly staff has to be one of our favourites”

“Great for family celebrations and dietary needs! We visited Cafe Corvina for my dad’s retirement lunch with a group of 6 adults and 4 children. Overall, it was a lovely experience, though not quite perfect. The Good: Dietary Requirements: They were fantastic with our gluten-free and dairy-free guests. The staff was knowledgeable and made sure everyone had great options to choose from, which isn't always easy for large groups! Atmosphere: Very welcoming for kids and perfect for a family milestone. Service: Generally very attentive and friendly. The Not-So-Good: Missing Meal: Unfortunately, they forgot one of the adult main courses. While they apologized and rushed it out once we mentioned it, it meant one person was eating long after the rest of us had started. Despite the mix-up with the order, the quality of the food and the excellent handling of allergies mean we would definitely return. A great local spot for a celebration!”
