About Blakes of the Hollow
Dogs are welcome alongside their owners at Blakes of the Hollow, an Irish pub at 6 Church St in Enniskillen. The pub works on a walk-in basis, so there is no need to arrange a table in advance before calling in. Guinness is the pour that drinkers here come back to and order again and again, and it anchors what the bar serves. Irish food sits alongside the drink, keeping the kitchen and the bar within the same Irish pub tradition. Groups and solo drinkers alike take whatever seats are free when they arrive.

“Best Guinness in the world, as me mam would say. Great staff too.”

“Stopped in for drinks only on a tour of the country. Warm welcome with details of the history of the place as we drank as well as a Game of Thrones door. Traditional and friendly. We will return!”

“Great pint of Guinness, however, downstairs in the restaurant it was warm and not as good as in the pub. Food in their restaurant was cooked well, and excellent for a restaurant in a pub. Beef was top notch. Service casual, but friendly”

“We only stopped in for a quick drink, but were very warmly welcomed and provided with a lot of information about the pub's history. Very nice pub!”

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the pint of Guinness, with several calling it the best around and praising the bar staff for how they pour it. Close behind is the welcome, described as warm and friendly, with a few noting staff shared details of the pub's history. The whiskey and gin range also draws praise, including a knowledgeable manager who offered recommendations and the whiskeys or gins of the month. Reviewers also single out the original private cabins and off set booths, a Game of Thrones door, live music, and Halloween decoration. In the downstairs restaurant, one diner found the beef excellent but the Guinness warm and not as good as in the pub. The one sharply negative review describes being eventually served after the manager finished looking at his phone, a bar with no atmosphere despite a couple of dozen customers, and the manager biting his nails or picking his teeth. Another visitor describes being tucked close to the fire with a pint, hearing the history of the place as they drank.
