“Am a regular at this establishment and I can confirm it is my go to lunchtime spot. A Large chicken katsu here is enough to fill a horse and it is always well stocked. June behind the till is particularly wonderful and has put up with my card declining after I failed to transfer enough money across in time patiently throughout. His service is impeccable. Thank you Kokoro. Yours, OvN”

“Jun and the whole team are unfailingly friendly and welcoming, and remember me and my friends every time. The food is always fresh hot and delicious, and it's one of the few places that is incredibly allergen-conscious, which means the world to me and my family since we have nut allergies. Its one of the few places we can enjoy our food without worrying”

“This is our usual spot for Friday lunch, it's filling, good value, tasty and become a bit of a tradition for us to walk from our office the other end of Terminus Road. Hazel usually serves us and is always happy, friendly and funny.”

“Half a ladle of sauce for a large Katsu? Absolute joke and waste of money. Never coming again. I watched the cashier do it and asked for me she just said “no””

“I don’t know what’s going on with Kokoro lately. I used to love it, and everything was always fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. But recently I’ve had one disappointment after another with the Eastbourne branch. One time I ordered my favourite prawn udon, but it arrived without any prawns. I called them, and they offered me a refund, but I never received it. It’s been disappointing every single time after that. The ingredients listed on the menu are never included. I’ve never seen a single piece of beef in Japchae. Instead, I receive plain noodles with just one or two small pieces of pepper, onion, or carrot as shown on the photo. The quality has gone downhill completely. I won’t be ordering from here again unless they start serving what’s actually advertised on the menu. Shame”

“The place was very empty when we got in there, which is unusual as the hastings one is normally got loads of people in there. Me and my partner both ordered a mix and match bowl and 80% was rice and only 20% was chicken. The next following day my partner can’t stop throwing up and that’s all we had to eat that day, so the food has given him food poisoning. I wouldn’t go here, really not happy.”

“Korean dining in the heart of Eastbourne. Ready to go Sushi is available from the fridge. Hot food such as sweet and sour chicken is from the counter. They go in regular or large bowls with rice or noodles or a mix. Some seating inside and in good weather a couple of tables outside on the pavement. Fast food at a god price”

“My wife and I took our 17-month-old son to Kokoro for a quick lunch. It was our first time there and we were pleased with the extensive vegan options. I had the tofu katsu curry but opted for noodles rather than rice as they looked tasty. It was ready in 3 minutes and the regular size was plenty big enough. The carrots were still raw but some people might like that added crunch. My wife went for the veggie rolls vegan sushi and was very happy with her choice. Our son thoroughly enjoyed some spring rolls and chips. With a couple of drinks it cost £22 but worth every penny. The lady who greeted us was friendly and very accommodating, making sure we were happy and had all we needed throughout our visit. We will definitely be returning!”
