  “Booked this place from Italy but once we got there we got rudely told no reservation was made where minutes later-donno how- here comes the apology. We got sat by the window and I have to say that the view wasn’t that pleasant since the pub right in front of the tearoom looked unsafe from the people in-/-outcoming. Fair enough, we choose the tea, cakes and all the rest comes in. Cakes/sweets are way too rich, too sweet and stale, the voul-au-vents exagetately overflow with a mish/mash all mixed up in a yellow cream (curry?) where a poor shrimp tops it all. Sandwiches, bits of odd salad and crisps here and there, what a mess. Didn’t touch much in the end. The display doesn’t have to pay only the eye, It’s useless to fill the table up with nice little jam jars, cheap treats and low cost jellys here and there to cover up the quality and cleaning lack. Probably the thing that they couldn’t find the reservation lead to this but the thing is we paid £75 for 3 which is a lot for what we got and unfair since we booked well in advance. The tearoom is sited in one of Dundee main roads. You can easily find car park in the little streets beside, no problem for that, at least.”

  “Lovely place, great cakes and vegan options, amazing selection of teas. Has lots of nice little touches like a tea timer and rose napkins. Our host was very nice and friendly, but run off his feet! Please please change those horrific blue light cheap led bulbs! It spoils your atmosphere. A nice yellow hue would go with the retro post war vibes and could do with a little heat pump or dehumidifier to keep the windows clear as they were all steamed up. Overall definitely worth a trip and want to go back for the vegan breakfast!”

  “A charming cafe with a distinctly nostalgic vibe - from the early-to-mid-20th Century music to the chintzy decor. The menu is simple but well-done from a pastry chef who's worked at topline places including Gleneagles Hotel and the QE2. The baking is worth the visit alone. Drinks are spot-on and the service is charming. Order tea and you get a pot and a sand timer with 3 options for how strong you want it. Napkins come in a cute rose-shaped holder. Parking is possible, but plan it in advance - nothing directly outside but there's a paid council car park down a side street nearby and free spots on local residential streets. The cafe is dog-friendly and has an accessible entrance.”

  “This place is incredible! I did not know it existed to begin with I must admit, but walking past I had to go inside! It was very busy and is only small and 2 people were working but I must say my food and drink was brought out to me very quickly! I am a chef myself and the food was incredible. I highly recommend and the cherry brownie was the best I have ever had!! I will most certainly be coming back and highly praise this place!”

  “Stumbled on this place by accident and we are so glad we did. Incredible value for money and such lovely service. We had pesto eggs and a cooked breakfast. Food arrived quickly and the standard of cooking was top notch. We will definitely be back for a sweet treat one day. Loved the decor too.”

  “Such lovely afternoon tea! There is such a cosy atmosphere inside, with lovely decoration, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The cakes and tea were absolutely delicious - such amazing value for money! I would recommend very highly - we’ll definitely be back!”

  “Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Plenty of food and great options for vegetarians. Lovely place, well looked after and really pretty. Shame that we kept having to ask for milk as one small jug was not enough for 10 of us, and we felt resistant to ask for tea top ups as it felt like we were getting on the owners nerves by asking. Maybe another helper would have meant that he did not have so much to do.”

  “Loved the wee tearoom on Perth Road when visited Dundee last week. Ordered vegan breakfast with dirty chai latte,oh my days the beverage was boosted with punch of spicy flavour. My tummy was full till the evening! Loved the decòr and the loo aesthetics were also so put well with the main tearoom design. The chandeliers and the tearoom cabinet have really caught my eye and the history of the shop printed on menu card is impressive!!”

  “Very kind with our dogs. Every dish has been prepared with lovely care. What we’ve tasted was delicious. You must have a stop here if you’re in Dundee! If you find it fully booked just wait a little bit. Just have a walk down to the park and come back. You’ll spend quality-time here for sure.”

  “Very cute family owned café run by the grandson and his uncle. Both were very friendly and approachable. The food was lovely and reasonably price. The cakes looked amazing! I got one there, got one for my friend and got another cake for myself for the next day 😂 got some truffles too, very excited to try them!! Update: went back for afternoon tea and it was lovely still! Onion chutney tart was a bit too strong but otherwise it was good.”
