Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come back to the coffee, with the flat white singled out repeatedly as great, and the brunch plates that go with it. Smashed avocado and harissa eggs with sourdough and mini hash browns get named as standouts, and the food is described as lovely, with big portions and a menu with plenty of variety. Close behind is the welcome: staff are called friendly again and again, and one reviewer notes service is efficient even when busy. The quirky, country-feel interior draws praise, and local beers and ciders are a touch one visitor liked. It is also described as very dog friendly. The complaints are smaller. One breakfast of smashed avocado and poached eggs arrived bland with hard eggs despite a request for runny, another found the food not the best value, and the reduced Sunday menu and a tight parking squeeze at busy times come up. One calls the pizza just ok. Several mention free dog treats on the counter and water bowls outside.

“Great place for brunch. Parking is a bit of a squeeze at busy times but well worth the walk if you find a spot up the road. Food was lovely and the staff were great.”

“Our breakfast was very bland. I had smashed avocado and poached eggs , and although we asked for the eggs to be runny, they arrived hard. The only thing that was worth the money was the coffee, which arrived at the same time as the food !”

“Went to Checketts of Ombersley Café and had a great experience! It is really nice inside and we absolutely loved. Pizza was ok but could be better. I also love that they stock local beers and ciders; it’s such a great touch when you are travelling to be able to taste some real local stuff. Coffe was amazing, so defo a win there. The staff were super friendly too. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!”
