About Dennis of Bexley
Dennis of Bexley is a butcher shop in Dartford, at 1 Maplehurst Cl, where the butcher counter doubles as a lunch spot. Customers can buy from the meat counter and also sit down to roast meals, loaded fries and sandwiches. That pairing lets one stop cover both a butcher's shopping and a cooked midday meal. The food side works as a takeout restaurant and a sandwich shop, so lunch can be eaten in or carried out. The business is also classed as a deli.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly describe a local butcher and lunch spot, with one calling the roast a family hit, though the potatoes could have been crisper. Baked goods and pastry draw praise. Complaints center on the meat, with one saying chicken thighs looked anaemic and beef mince tasted off on the barbecue. Another found the loaded fries dry and lunch service slow.

“Great butchers, slow lunch service, average cooked food like the loaded fries which were so dry (I asked for no mayo because it dropped on the floor and they just picked it up and put it back again). Baked goods are nice!”

“Got the family and I a roast & it didn’t disappoint. Only critique is the potatoes could’ve been a tad more crisp.”

“Great butchers and well known local lunch place.”

“Tried chicken thighs and beef mince. Both things looked a bit bleak when we bought them. Chicken looked anaemic and beef looked like it had oxidated a bit. Bbq'd it the next day and it just didn't taste right. We've bought meat from a lot of places and so far this is the worst. If you go there for pastry or sandwiches they are 5* but for a butchers their meat is poor.”
