About The Post Room
The Post Room is a cafe in Cwmbran with a Monster Breakfast and a full Welsh breakfast on the menu. A veggie breakfast sits alongside them, and vegan options are also available. Lunchtime brings a hot roast. The cafe works on a walk-in basis, and staff ask whether you are eating in or out before taking your order at the table. Dogs are welcome, so a walk with a pet can end here. For group lunches, the team offers catering and can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian and allergy requirements.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what reviewers praise most, led by the Full Welsh, with the Monster Breakfast and its toast for mopping up beans and runny yolk close behind. A veggie breakfast is singled out for fresh mushrooms rather than tinned, and vegan options come up too. One diner notes no grease on the plate, and others describe food well cooked and freshly prepared to order. Friendly staff and quick service recur, along with a clean, cosy room that welcomes dogs. Lunch and takeaway earn a mention as well, with one reviewer pointing to the lunchtime hot roast. The only complaint is from one reviewer who found free Wi-Fi missing, though another says it is available. One regular describes asking for catering at a birthday lunch with gluten-free, allergy and vegetarian guests, where every special meal was kept separate and explained.

“Had the Monster Breakfast... Gorgeous! Bread used for toast is awesome and perfect for mopping up the beans and runny yolk! The staff were really polite and accommodating and the seating area and kitchen are spotless. The eggs benedict served to the guy on the next table looked perfect and the portion of hollandaise sauce served up with it, very generous. A lot of people around me appear to eat here regularly which is always a good sign. Get down here and try it for yourself also really good value for money oh... almost forgot, they also have WiFi 👌”

“After visiting regularly for lunch, I asked The Post Room if they could provide catering for a birthday lunch for guests which included multiple people with dietary requirements, gluten-free, allergies, vegetarian. They were absolutely fantastic, and made it seem like no effort at all. All the special meals were separated and explained. The food was so tasty, great variety, and looked fresh and beautiful, plus copious portions. Thanks!”
