Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the peshawari nan and daal as standouts, with several describing the food as freshly cooked, authentic, and very tasty. The vegetarian options and the chicken rogan also earn praise for their flavour and presentation. A recurring complaint centres on inconsistent execution: one reviewer details a butter chicken arriving in a watery, oily liquid with barely warm chicken, while another reports a cold, underfilled masala dahl and greasy, fishy-smelling puris in a takeaway order. Service draws mixed notes, with some calling it lovely and attentive, and others describing it as unfriendly or slow due to staff shortages, though one table received a free drink and an apology from the chef for the delay. One diner also found a bone in their mild chicken masala. Several mention the welcoming atmosphere for dogs.

“2nd visit here 12months after 1st. Hoped it would be better. Im afraid not. Service at 7pm extremely quick- we were first customers that night. Service seemed efficient but not friendly. Poppadoms just served without asking if we wanted any!. Husband ordered chicken rogan, I ordered butter chicken plus rice and chips to share. Mine came , and went back. Huge pieces of chicken barely warm sitting in a strange watery oily liquid, a little bit warmer. Waitress offered to reheat it!! Another bowl of huge chicken pieces came. Warmer, but still not really hot, same oily water was boiling hot so obviously not cooked together. The chicken was tasteless, possibly cooked in boiling water. Liquid was awful. Tasteless but with a little kick, looked like dirty water, again with an oily, presumably melted butter/ margarine slick on the surface of the water. It was appalling. I couldn't drink the liquid. Left most of the chicken. Rice and chips ok. Chicken rogan was really nice. Looked nice and tasted just like you would expect it to.Explained to waiter why we hadn't left a tip. His response was " its ok I didn't cook it!!! Spent the evening hoping I was not going to come down with food poisoning from first bits of chicken. Luckily I was ok. Won't be back .”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
