Quick info
About Le Moon
Le Moon on Prince of Wales Road in Cromer operates as both a sit-down restaurant and a takeaway, serving Chinese dishes alongside a Thai green curry chicken. The kitchen covers a familiar Chinese range with starters including an hors d'oeuvres platter of prawn toast and satay chicken, and mains such as beef curry with egg fried rice. The team handles allergies and dietary intolerances on request, and a single counter-and-floor member runs the room during service, with courses for dine-in arriving in stages over an extended sitting. The interior is in need of a revamp, and orders at the counter cover both eat-in and collection.

Customer Review Summary
Many reviewers are drawn to Le Moon for its Chinese food, with several praising the quality of dishes like the prawn toast, satay chicken, and beef curry, and the curry and egg fried rice in particular drawing strong positive comments. Takeaway orders also earn high marks, with one guest noting quick preparation and helpful accommodation for allergies, and another from out of town saying they would return despite it not being a local spot. Family meals are likewise described as a positive experience. Set against that, several reviewers describe a noticeably slow eat-in service, with one recounting a near two-hour gap between courses that left food going cold, and another calling the front-of-house the worst they had encountered, citing a disengaged server. Inedible or disappointing items also surface, including a knuckle of pork served as a spare rib and a rubbery Thai green curry chicken on takeaway, and a holiday visitor felt the meal did not represent good value.

“had a takeaway whilst camping nearby, food was absolutely rubbish compared to my local Chinese, the Thai green curry chicken was rubbery and not edible, won't be bothering to go again”

“Holiday evening meal visit. Decor a bit in need of a revamp. Waiter looked like he would rather be somewhere else and didn't smile once. Starter for 3 included spare ribs which turned out to be not ribs, more like a knuckle, just bone and ligament, inedible rubbish. Don't mind paying the price, but expect to be able to eat what is ordered and if it's a pork rib, it should have edible pork on it. Rest of the meal was fine. Would we go there again, sadly not.”

“Wow, what a restaurant. The ambience, food and price are fab. We shared the Hor's Dourves, enjoying the prawn toast and satay chicken the most. We both had beef curry and egg fried rice, which tasted AMAZING!!”

“Food is amazing, great place to eat or take away!”

“Great food made quickly and they were very accommodating to allergies and intolerances. Will definitely order from here again.”
