Quick info
About Toby Carvery Langley Green
Toby Carvery Langley Green is a carvery on Vancouver Dr in Crawley, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet that runs alongside the carvery itself. Meats are carved at a counter, and the set roast menu includes honey-glazed turkey, gammon and slow-roast pork. Plates are filled with roasted vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding with gravy, and the rest of the food is laid out buffet style. Soft drinks come from a machine, with Robinson's squash among them. Families get a garden and a kids play area on site, and dogs are welcome. The site has plenty of parking.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the carved roast meats, with the gammon, turkey, honey-glazed turkey and slow-roast pork described as nicely cooked, juicy and tender. Close behind are the sides, including roasted potatoes, mac n cheese and a Yorkshire pudding with gravy, plus a sauce one diner calls famous. Several praise generous portions, good value, friendly helpful staff and a clean dining area with a garden and kids play area. One finds the veg short on flavour, and one notes it can be hard to book at peak times. The complaints centre on service and portions. One diner waited a long time at the carvery with no queue, then was seated just inches from another party despite plenty of empty tables. Another collected two boxes through the app and found loads of veg and stuffing but only two thin slices of chicken in one and pieces of gristle in the other.

“Been to a few Toby's and this is by far and away the best so far. The building is well setup and presented, the staff are friendly and helpfullyand most importantly of all, the roast was amazing. Can be hard to book at peak times, I can see why now..”

“Had a very enjoyable Sunday roast. Staff were helpful, food lovely as always, the restaurant and pub area was clean and layout of tables etc was good. Has a garden and kids play area, plenty of parking. Ticked all the boxes for a Sunday day out roast. Highly recommend.”

“I came down from the Midlands to Crawley to see my partner, we didn't fancy cooking so I suggested we try the roast carvery on the TGTG app which has always been a good experience in the past. The collection was quick but when I told the waiter we had two to collect he swapped the ones in his hands for another two for some reason. On return we opened the containers to find loads of vegetables and stuffing but only two thin slices of chicken in one and two pieces of grissle in the other, I know TGTG is what is left at the end of the day but to put out a couple of pieces of grissle and a bit of chicken is not my idea of a roast carvery, especially as there were at least half a dozen ready for pick up. Seems like they are scrimping instead of giving decent portions here in Crawley.Usually I have three kinds of meat included but you live and learn. See photos .”

“Had to wait for a long time for someone to serve us at the carvery, was a really hot day and nobody else in the queue. Was seated at a table which was fine but when we returned with our food we had some other people sat just inches from us. There were loads of empty tables so no need to sit them so close. Felt very rough for 24 hours after the meal. Waiting staff were pleasant.”

“Foods good, but after leaving I saw the worker take an old plate with a full sausage and take it to the chef and put it back into the other bin of sausages that other people take From Edit: but all stories have a good ending the food is amazing and always cooked to perfection, the staff are always polite, patient and loving toward young people who are to shy to talk keep it up Sorry if the start affects people i was just stating what I saw once tbf I think that was just a one off so I trust that it was the first time”
