Customer Review Summary
Takeaway orders draw the most praise at Star of India. One reviewer describes a large company order arriving on time, hot and fresh, with generous portions. Another calls the Korma the best they have tried, and a regular singles out the kebab on naan bread. Dine-in reviewers mention friendly staff, a cozy, relaxing atmosphere and great value, and one notes the halal food. One adds that the food is not exactly Indian style but still tastes good. A smaller group of reviewers is critical, and their complaints are specific. One found the chicken biryani average and lacking flavour, the curry not fresh and the seekh kebab very dry. Another said the Rajhastani Chicken tasted like chicken cooked in ketchup and called the service awful. A third rated the food terrible and the prices poor, and noted that Red Bull was not stocked. The stale tandoori bread had to be replaced with a second order.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We ordered a large company takeaway from Star of India, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The food arrived on time, was hot, fresh, and packed with flavour. Every meal was clearly prepared with care, and there wasn't a single complaint from anyone in the team. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and the service made organising a large order completely hassle-free. It's not easy to keep everyone happy with a big company order, but Star of India absolutely delivered. We'll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended for both individual meals and large group takeaways!”

“First time I have had a carry out from Star of India. Delicious meal best Korma of anywhere I have tried. “I visited this restaurant recently and wanted to share some honest feedback so it can be helpful for improvement. The chicken biryani was quite average and lacked flavour, and the curry didn’t taste as fresh as expected. The seekh kebab was unfortunately very dry and didn’t seem fresh at all. I couldn’t eat more than a bite. I genuinely hope the team can work on the taste and quality, because the place has potential. This visit wasn’t great for me, but I hope to see improvements in the future.”
