  “Went here for Dinner with my family. Booked a table for 6 in advance, I would suggest booking as it can get busy. Quirky but great decor, good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Indoor air conditioned and covered outdoor dining options with a nice view. Added a pic of our shared Camembert, I had the rib-eye but started eating it before photographing! Family friendly, it would be a bit of a challenge for wheelchair users to access but I’m certain staff would be available to help. Available for all group sizes and has spaces to hire out. Worth a visit.”

  “I've visited The Quicken Tree three times in the last couple of months and it has been consistently excellent every time. The food is always of a very high standard, with great quality ingredients and plenty of choice on the menu. The service is friendly, attentive and professional without ever feeling rushed. One of the standout features is the atmosphere. The restaurant has a relaxed, welcoming feel, and the views across the surrounding countryside are fantastic, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal and spend time with family or friends. It's rare to find somewhere that delivers such a consistently good experience on every visit. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be returning again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

  “The setting was lovely, the food was lovely, but the service was absolutely awful!! When you walk in you are greated to many servers rushing about but they all seem far to busy to welcome you or even smile. We ordered and paid for our food in full, and then I remembered I had already paid a £40 booking reservation which they had completely forgotten about. I went and spoke to a server and she said she would get the £40 refunded for me. We then waited over an hour for the 1st plate to come out and then another 15 mins for another 4 to come out. (7 of us in total.) After waiting another 10 mins we asked where the last 2 plates were, they went to check and returned saying they had been cancelled as I had asked for a refund?! So the booking reservation was somehow confused with my sisters and her fiancé's meal, even though I never mentioned anything about not wanting our food, they didn't even equal the same amount, plus they hadn't refunded her they just cancelled it without even telling her. The staff in general were incredibly inattentive, made silly mistakes like giving us no cutlery then not bringing enough out once they did, spilling drinks all over the saucer so you are left with 3 quarters of a drink, not bringing out the correct food or drinks when we did eventually get some of it, and being incredibly unapologetic when we explained what had happened. The younger staff especially need training, I don't think I've ever been anywhere with service this bad. It was fathers day, and my family were all driving back home to Dorset straight afterwards, so 2 had to go to McDonald's instead on the way home! The lady who sorted out our refunds in the end took my name and number and said she would call me later the same day to offer me something but she didn't. She wasn't even the manager, they weren't interested, but either way she never called.”

  “Really enjoyed my food and drink though it did take a fair while for it to leave the kitchen/bar. Can't blame the staff though as they were doing their best and the place was very busy! Love the decor of the place, especially when you immediately enter. Only personal gripe is the weird AI generated visuals on the TV that were pretty creepy. They could do better than that, like why not get videos of the surrounding wildlife or the water? All-in-all it was good. Would recommend 🙂”

  “Great place food is tasty however it would be advisable to book as I waited an hour and fifteen mins for some chips and garlic bread maybe prioritise the small orders however there was some classic car function that over run the place Book those tables ...beautiful steampunk vibes and friendly staff Boss walking around with a glass of red wine moaning about the amount of people that randomly showed up (walk ins) Worth a visit though”

  “Booked The Quicken Tree for my daughter’s 18th and 21st birthday meals yesterday for 19 of us. They sat us in an area that was more private which we appreciated and was lovely. The food was absolutely amazing and came out to us really quickly. What made it all the more special was how attentive and polite the staff were though. Have to give a special mention to Josh and Maddie who made sure we had everything we needed. My family had not been before and everyone was super impressed so they will be returning!! Many thanks to you all and will be back very soon. Can’t recommend the venue enough……5 plus star service 😃”

  “A lovely Sunday roast with all the trimmings cooked perfectly and very tasty . Followed by a delicious dessert . Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.”

  “We love dining at the Quicken Tree regularly for breakfasts and date night meals. The restaurant is uniquely decorated with fairy lights and quirky artwork which give it a cool, relaxed atmosphere. I have honestly never had a bad meal here; always comes out served hot and cooked to perfection 😗🤌🏻We have had the pleasure of being served by Peter on multiple occasions - he is super welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and is a very competent member of the team so we know when he is our server that we will be taken care of and are in the best hands! Would particularly recommend the chicken wings, the mixed grill and truffle fries 😋👌🏻”

  “Beautiful & quirky establishment! The grounds are gorgeous and the restaurant decor was incredible. It was such a nice walk through seeing all the art work and the cave bar! Breakfast is lovely. Portions are great and brilliant quality for price. The staff were really attentive and really took care of us. Very clean also! Highly recommend!!”
