  “Having eaten in this restaurant several times before. We noticed it was under new management, so thought we'd have lunch last Friday. We both ordered off the lunch menu. The food was delicious, service by Lee, who was informative and very helpful. It was also quite busy and vibrant, and had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again.”

  “Ordered from Aroy Thai for collection. On arriving at the restaurant the wait staff were polite and friendly. Whilst we didn't dine in the atmosphere and look of the restaurant was light and comforting and had absolutely wished we had dined in. Food was incredible and a great sized portion. Perfectly balanced aromatic flavours with a good spice to it. Great work to the chefs and staff - will absolutely be back!”

  “First time back in The Aroy since it's been taken over.. gotta say the food & service were excellent... atmosphere was a little quieter than would have expected for a Saturday evening but we enjoyed it.. will return soon... thankyou”

  “We booked here on a Sunday evening while staying in Clacton, and it turned out to be the best Thai meal we have ever eaten, anywhere. The cooking is genuinely accomplished, fresh and precise, with real depth to the flavours rather than the sweetened, flattened versions you often get. Everything we ordered was excellent. The room is small and calm, which made it a relaxed evening rather than a rushed one, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. Booking is well worth it as there are not many tables. We came expecting a good dinner and left thinking about when we can come back.”

  “We’ve been coming here on and off for a long time and have always enjoyed it. There is a new team running the restaurant and if anything the food is even better! We came here for Father’s Day 21st June and had a great meal, tom yum, mixed starters, massoman curry, pad thai, Thai green curry with salmon. All absolutely delicious and great value. Would highly recommend”

  “went yesterday evening with my family, first impression was good however after being seated no menus were handed. We waited a while (nearly 20mins )and eventually I asked how long is the waiting time as I had little ones with me only after that menu was handed , no apologies at all. Instead, he gave a big explanation/ lecture like we're not macdonalds our food are made to order, which every customer'll be aware when they head to a restaurant. Food was good but the approach made feel very humiliated, it ruined my evening.”
