  “We ate here twice and cannot fault it! The burgers were delicious and the chips are 😋 The staff are absolutely lovely. We came at breakfast and they happily made chips for us as we were going home. Their music playlist is 👌 Great place,great vibe,lovely food and wonderful staff. What more can you ask for. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Clacton 😊”

  “Went to the music event on the pier yesterday, great event but the pub was 'unprepared' with their bar staff. The staff were very polite and very friendly, but god they were slow! There were two queues snaking from the bar round and out the door, yet the staff (3 serving per line) all very orderley and people waited patiently, but sometimes the staff would stand and chat amongst themselves, when clearly there were people waiting to be served, and it appeared one staff member was being trained (not the best time to be learning), so 2 staff dealing with one customer and it was taking at least 30 minutes minimum to get a drink. 2 queues, 6 staff in total, but sometimes only one was serving per line (maybe the other two were changing a barrel? or taking a break?) it was VERY understaffed. On a sunny day in Clacton, for the number of people that were there, all day, they needed at least 10 people behind the bar. It was painful to watch and more painful to queue. If they had more staff they would have doubled the speed and the takings easily. Other than that it was a very good show.”

  “Lovely place to eat overlooking the sea. Good service, excellent food and reasonable prices. Mention about our waiter Carl. It was his first day and we said we would do this so he gets a rise. Colette and Steve.”

  “Very disappointed that the small breakfast has been withdrawn. This was a perfect size. Staff as always were fantastic but not sure we will go back now the smaller breakfast is not on offer. Please bring it back!”
