Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the coffee and the friendly staff, with one citing a milkshake and others a relaxed atmosphere and window seats in the old Post Office building. The main complaint is limited food and equipment trouble: one reviewer was told a broken coffee machine meant only tea, and a display teacake was not for sale. Another found the sandwiches reheated.

“I love Coffee #1 but this store is abysmal. I live in Cirencester so you’d think I’d be a regular but every single time I give it a try, they either have very little food (not ordering enough in?) OR there’s an issue with the dishwasher and/or coffee machine. It’s either the unluckiest store ever or something is being mismanaged here. I asked for a chai latte on Sunday only to be told they could only do tea as the coffee machine was broken. The amount of people who walked out upon learning that was huge, they must have lost so much revenue. Oh, and the scanner wasn’t working for the app either. I did have to laugh when I asked for a teacake once only to be told “we don’t have any. That’s just the display teacake”. It’s just not worth the time unless you’re happy to have a tea in a takeaway cup. The Stroud and Cheltenham stores are much better.”

“Wanted a piece of cake. Two left. And wanted the one in front of the other. Told “no” it had to be the one easier for her to reach. The two pieces were an inch apart.”

“Great place to grab a coffee; service is great, and there is always somewhere to sit on my lunch break. I often pop in, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!”

“Staff was great, store looks great. The food is a worse version of Petro station reheated sandwich. Basically a cooler Starbucks with worse food. The price is not absurd. But the quality is not good at best.”
