Customer Review Summary
Tapas is the draw at Housmans, with reviewers singling out the steak and the pork belly as standouts, and the churros and Portuguese custard tarts also getting praise. One diner ordered every tapas dish and found all of them great, and another calls the tapas excellent with well made dishes and great flavours. Close behind is the welcome, as several describe friendly, helpful staff, and a few mention the kids' menu, the gluten free choices, and being able to bring a dog inside. Pizza and a nice selection of beers also get a mention. The main complaint is a single review that found a long wait for service too slow and noticed extra items on the bill that were never ordered, though the same reviewer found the food and drinks good and the portions large. Reviewers also note a relaxing, warm atmosphere, and one visitor who stopped in for lunch after hiking the Long Mynd was happy enough to say they would return.

“Out of town visitors. Having hiked The Long Mynd was looking for a lunch time meal. Having discovered Housmans on the High Street we were not disappointed, from the moment we walked in the staff were both welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent (particularly the tapas) and the atmosphere relaxing. Will definitely return & strongly recommend.”
