About Chichester Inn
Chichester Inn is a pub in Chichester at 38 West St, at the end of West Street and a short walk from the town centre. The building is an 18th-century inn, and a weekly Chichester Folk Club sing-along night puts folk music in the pub for the room to join. The bar is a traditional English one with a selection of ales. In the kitchen, the menu lists nine dishes, and the owner says the food is sourced locally. The business is also listed as a restaurant, a guest house and a bed and breakfast, with a few small rooms upstairs.

“A real ripp off. We paid 750 pounds per night!! For a 3 star hotel without airco and breakfast dat was very poor. When you ask a scrambled egg with hal and cheese they give you A scrambled egg with slices of ham and slices of brie cheese next to your scrambled egg. And goes on. Very tiny bathroom with an electric shower, never seen that before. No seperate toilet. In the 3 person bedroom barely storage room for 3 people. The water sink in bathroom has nearly no hot water pressure. For 750 pounds a night you can go to very fancy hotels everywhere else but here?? A pure ripoff.”

“We stayed at the Chichester Inn for one night and will never return. It’s a fairly shabby pub with just a few small rooms upstairs. It smells of greasy food and to get into the building after hours, you have to go through a dark and dirty …”

“A real gem in Chichester. Convenient location on the end of West Street. A quick walk to the commercial center of town. Had delightful, sunny room upstairs overlooking the back garden. Elliott, the proprietor, is charming, efficient, and accommodating. All of the staff were equally wonderful. The inn serves as one of the cultural centers of Chichester - from Pride celebration after-parties to the weekly Chichester Folk Club sing-along.”
