  “If you're in Carlisle then Michelangelos is definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff, cute venue, the house red wine was actually pretty good, nice pizza but the surprise was the tomato and onion salad. Simple but very delicious.”

  “A fantastic meal in a fantastic restaurant was the perfect end to our day out. Food was lovely, well presented, and very tasty. Drink was whatever you would like. The atmosphere was very soothing even with bigger groups in the restaurant. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Italian food.”

  “Nice enough place. Staff efficient. I think it's about time salt & pepper were available on the the table and not put on before your food arrives or by the staff. All I could taste with the first two mouthfuls was salt. After I scraped the salt from the steak I had it was reasonable though. Also don't buy a dessert as they are vastly overpriced when did they start costing £10 outrageous . Sorry but won't be going back”

  “5 stars for food,service and atmosphere, however 4 stars over all as no disability access,outside stairs down to restaurant. That said, staff were very friendly and attentive. Pizzas were outstanding best I've had. Atmosphere was lovely, kept the stain glass windows and a very popular place.”

  “Shocking! Took the wife for an anniversary meal, couldn’t hear our own conversation. Staff were rude, abrupt and clearly didn’t want to be there. The food was bland, plain and undercooked at an extortionate price! Asked to speak to the manager/owner and the staff advised “they don’t like complaints” will not be back at all, better getting a meal deal from the supermarket or takeaway. Felt let down that this was a treat for my wife seeing it was our anniversary!”

  “Michelangelo Bar & Restaurant absolutely deserves a full 5 stars. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt war, stylish and welcoming. The décor creates a perfect seating for any occasion whether it's a date night, a family dinner or just relaxed evening out. The food was outstanding and it was cooked to perfection, rich flavors, fresh ingredients and portion of size that felt just right. You can tell a lot of care goes to their cooking. The drink menu is also impressive. What really stood was service. The staff were friendly, attentive and made sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. Overall Michelangelo delivers top quality food, great service and lovely atmosphere.... Highly recommended”

  “We came across this amazing restaurant for a date night we get the map up and pick somewhere new every week. Staff go above and beyond for their customers, great service and the food was divine. Their wine menu was fantastic I'm italian and they had the wine I love most. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our night”

  “Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and extensive menu. The staff were lovely and helpful, food was incredible and the cocktails were fantastic! It’s easily the best restaurant in Carlisle and I’ll definitely be back, can’t recommend it enough!”
