Felson’s Cocktail Lounge & Stick Hall
Quick info
About Felson’s Cocktail Lounge & Stick Hall
Felson's Cocktail Lounge & Stick Hall is a pool hall and cocktail bar in Carlisle, on the first floor. Pool is the main activity, and tables can be booked ahead, with the deposit credited toward food or drink, so a group can plan a night around a game. The drinks list covers cocktails and a range of craft beers. On the food side, the kitchen serves unlimited BBQ chicken wings, which makes a shared plate easy to build into a session at the table. Felson's opens on Fridays and Saturdays only and is closed the rest of the week.

Customer Review Summary
Pool is the main draw, with reviewers praising the quality tables, the spacing between them and the monthly tournaments. One reviewer found the tables bumpy and objected to paying a deposit and then a fee per game, with the deposit counted as credit against food or drink. Cocktails come close behind, described as new and inviting, with some quite unusual, and a couple of reviewers also like the drinks offers. Staff are called professional, polite and friendly, though one reviewer says the door team almost refused a French driving licence as ID. Opinions on cost split: one finds drinks not overpriced but not the cheapest, another calls them a bit high, and a third praises the prices. One reviewer suggests booking a table in advance to avoid a wait. Food draws mentions too, including nachos, a buffet at a birthday night out, and unlimited BBQ chicken wings, which another reviewer says are served in vast amounts on Wednesday nights.

“Almost didn’t accept my French drivers licence as a form of ID. Bouncers/staff should be made aware of non-UK forms of ID, what if international students were trying to get in??”

“Rip off joint - pay a deposit then have to shell our £1.50 a game - deposit is used as "credit" against food or drink. What kind of pool hall charges to hire a table then makes you pay for games? Tables bumpy as a motocross track - probably squarer tables on a cruise ship. Photo attached to roughly demonstrate the roll on this table. Avoid like the plague.”

“Not over priced drinks, but not the cheapest either. However it had a quirky atmosphere with about 6 pool tables and 1 shuffleboard table. If you do want a table make sure that you book one in advance, otherwise you may have a wait. Food is served but not too late. They do offer chicken wings in vast amounts and cheaply on a Wednesday night too.”

“Fantastic new wee gem in Carlisle. Such a good place to spend the day or start your (or finish?) evening. Great tables and atmosphere and all round a fun redevelopment of the old walkabout upstairs building. Great prices as well, I see myself coming here a lot :)”
