  “Went to a bottomless brunch and had 4 drinks in 1.5 hours since service was so slow, food was lovely but I finished my drink before my food snd still didn’t have a new one by the time I finished my food and the whole point of bottomless brunch is to drink as much as you can. All of us left completely sober and when my friend complained to the manager as it was for my friends birthday he was quite dismissive and explained they were busy even though we saw staff on their phones rather than serving. In response he offered us a free shot which we took but was not enough compared to the money we paid, we may as well not have booked the bottomless brunch it would’ve been the same price as what we paid anyways and the whole point is to get your money worth!!! Was the 3rd bottomless brunch I’ve been to in Cardiff and wouldn’t go back due to this experience and neither would my friends as my friend who initially complained to the manager had gone here before and had an amazing time! But he wouldn’t come back either after this experience”

  “We came here for a last minute bottomless brunch and Beth managed to squeeze the two of us in, within the hour!! Food was nice, and service was super quick - thank you so much Beth for looking after us!”

  “I reserved a table to watch a football match and was required to pay a £5 deposit. I attended as planned, ordered food and drinks, but the £5 deposit was never deducted from my bill. I contacted the pub by email afterwards to explain the situation, but unfortunately I did not receive any solution or refund. It’s disappointing because a deposit should either be deducted from the bill or refunded if the customer attends as agreed. I hope the management reviews this policy and improves how these situations are handled in the future.”

  “Came for bottomless brunch for galentines day and was looked after by Casey, she is a credit to your bar. She is the most lovely person I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. The drinks were quick and she regularly came back to check on us. The food was lack luster but I think that was due to us talking instead of eating and letting it go cold 😭 but honestly please give Casey a pat on the back she’s extremely excellent!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Amazing, fast service and the girls are so personable and talkative. If you’re booking a bottomless brunch, ask for one of these girls!!!! such a credit to the business x”

  “We went there for the egg chasers pre-game event and the atmosphere was brilliant. The place is really big so there is plenty of space. The service was good and staff were all very friendly. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in town.”

  “Took my daughter to Walkabout Cardiff, ahead of a rugby match featuring Tim from Eggchasers, and I honestly couldn’t fault the experience. The vibe was electric from the moment we walked in — exactly what you want pre-match. The venue itself is spacious, lively, and well laid out, with great sightlines and a proper event atmosphere rather than feeling cramped or chaotic. Food and drinks were spot on: well-priced, quick to arrive, and exactly what you need to fuel a big rugby day. Service was genuinely excellent throughout — friendly, efficient, and clearly well-briefed for a busy event crowd. There were minor microphone issues briefly during the talk, but they were handled quickly and didn’t detract from the experience at all. If anything, it showed how professionally the team managed things under pressure. Big mention as well for visible, calm, and professional security, which made the whole event feel safe and well organised — especially important when you’ve got families in as well as a lively sports crowd. All in all, an epic pre-rugby experience, brilliantly hosted. We’ll absolutely be back. Walkabout Cardiff has firmly earned its place as a go-to venue for events like this. 🍻🏉”

  “Really surprised at how tasty the food was here, had matchsay platter, side of fries & Gouda cheese sticks. Chicken wings were outstanding, cheesy BBQ beef Burt ends nachos delicious. Overall very pleased 😋😋😋”

  “Really Friendly & Helpful staff who gave service with a smile, a broad menu with lots of choice, Quick service despite the current pandemic restrictions in place. Staff helped me with the App so I could order and receive the discounts. Reasonable prices, Plenty of Covid guidance in place - great PR with being able to choose music for the Bar, the interactive quiz was good idea too. Clean Venue & Upon entry Track, Trace & only required information requested. Friendly Atmosphere and Excellent Customer Service from Entry Point to Exit - Screens clearly visible too. See you again soon”
