  “Well, where do I start! Best place down the bay hands down. Their I ice cream is amazing, so many flavours. Special shout out to their iced coffee as well with a pasta straw, none of that paper rubbish and still good for the environment 10/10, staff are lovely as well, the manager Lucy is always so friendly! Always up for a chat and Dean the owner is a one of a kind😀 can’t wait for my next trip”

  “What a fantastic find! We were spoilt for choice with so many unique and unusual flavours. It was impossible to pick just one. The ice cream was incredibly creamy, rich, and full of flavour. I had the Chocolate & Pecan, which was absolutely delicious, and we tried vanilla and Turkish delight, both of which were amazing. If you’re in Cardiff Bay and fancy an ice cream, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly be back to try even more flavours!”

  “As someone who grew up in Italy, I’ve never come across such a good gelato place in Wales. Was amazing. Will definitely be returning. Didn’t try anything else on the menu but I hope they always stay open, such a gem of a place.”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Llanfaes Dairy at Mermaid Quay is hands down one of my favourite places to visit in Cardiff! Even though I’m not local, I make a point of coming here every time I’m in the city. The ice cream is absolutely delicious, with so many amazing flavours to choose from, and the portions are always generous. Their milkshakes are fantastic too and never disappoint. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with recommendations. A special thank you to Dean, the manager, who consistently goes above and beyond to make sure customers have a great experience. His excellent customer service really stands out and keeps us coming back. The location in Cardiff Bay is perfect, making it a great place to stop for a treat while enjoying the waterfront. I would highly recommend Llanfaes Dairy to anyone visiting Cardiff – it’s a must-visit for ice cream lovers!”

  “People seem to say this ice cream is the best. While it is good, I wouldnt go that far. They offer a wide range of flavours, but some don't really taste like much. A few are really strong though, for example the cherry cola tasted EXACTLY like it and is very strong (in a good way), but ofcourse, we did not try every flavour so we cannot speak for them all. The ice cream also wasn't as creamy as I was expecting, giving a slightly ice-y undertone (but this is coming from someone who has spent many years in Italy eating many ice creams there). The ice cream however is made all in-house which is really respectable, and it is yummy for what it is. I do however think the price is rather steep, and I probably wouldn't pay that much again. The service was really good, providing us with the opportunity to taste flavours before we committed, possibly because we went at a not too busy time. In saying this, I would definately recommend to most people who are looking for a nice treat on a summers day !!”

  “So far this is the best dessert spot I’ve been to!! Bryony is super friendly and most importantly the dessert tastes amazing!! My wife and I ordered a milkshake, slice of ice cream cake and a hot chocolate 😋 We weren’t sure which flavour ice cream to try and Bryony let us try them out before ordering.”

  “I can confidently say this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The flavours are absolutely incredible unique, rich, and seriously next-level. This place offers an amazing variety, and every option is a treat. The design and interior are beautiful, and the place is spotless. While the prices are a little on the higher side, it’s 100% worth it for the quality you get. If you’re ever in Cardiff, don’t miss out grab an ice cream here and enjoy it by the bay. Pure heaven!”
