Quick info
About SA Brain & Co
SA Brain & Co is a family-owned Welsh brewery in Cardiff, based on the Dragon Brewery site, and the same family has owned the business since 1882, a run of more than 140 years. Its beers include Brains Dark, which is poured as a draft beer and also sold as a bimonthly subscription for drinking at home. The brewery site itself has no shop and no tours open to the public, because both ended some years ago.

Customer Review Summary
Brains Dark is the beer reviewers return to most, called a very tasty ale and a gorgeous pint on draft, and one reviewer who first tried it in a pub now has a bimonthly subscription to drink it at home. Close behind are speedy delivery and quick, excellent service, with a few also praising the new facility and warm welcome. The complaints are specific. One visitor went to the main gate asking for a shop or tour and was told both had ended, so the working brewery has no public access. Another reviewer was disappointed the pubs are not dog friendly, noting holidaymakers would stay longer in a warm corner than outside in the rain. A third questions the use of plastic in the pubs. One reviewer closes on staff who went over and above to help with a birthday present.
