About Posillipo - Canterbury
Posillipo - Canterbury is an Italian restaurant at 15-16 Borough in Canterbury, built around a wood-fired pizza oven. Pizzas come from that oven, and the menu also runs to fresh pasta and seafood dishes made with locally sourced fish. A large vegan menu sits alongside the classic Italian dishes, so plant-based diners have a full set of choices rather than a single option. Tiramisu is on the dessert list. The bar pours cocktails, wine and beer. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the tiramisu, with one reviewer's wife calling it the best she has ever tasted and another urging others to try it. Close behind is the wood-fired pizza, including a shared garlic pizza bread and pizzas paired with a beer and a Pornstar Martini, while a family of five also praised the Limoncello-filled ice cream and the fresh pasta and seafood come up too. Reviewers also mention the wine, the cocktails and a large vegan menu, and several call the staff friendly and the atmosphere homely, like visiting a family. Repeat visitors say the food quality never misses. The one complaint comes from a table of six with a three-year-old, who asked to order food with their drinks but were asked to wait, which cost the visit a star. Another party appreciated that a two-hour slot felt neither rushed nor slow, and one group had their table held while friends got lost driving around Canterbury.

“We were a family of 5, booked a week ago, seemed to be fully booked most of the time at the weekend, we were there on Saturday evening to celebrate an early Father’s Day. We all had different starters and main courses and deserts. Every dish was very well presented and delicious. My wife had the Tiramisu for desert and said it was the best she has ever tasted (she has tasted a lot!). Also a big shout out for the ice cream filled with Limoncello that was really refreshing and good way to finish the meal. The staff were very friendly and very efficient, we were allocated a 2 hour slot and it didn’t feel rushed or slow, just perfect amount of time to fully appreciate our meals. Whilst we didn’t have Pizza, they do a have an authentic wood fire oven and some of the Pizza coming out looked delicious.”
