Customer Review Summary
Most diners point to the carvery meat portions as the main attraction, with many also highlighting the Yorkshire pudding and the fudge cake as memorable items. Positive remarks frequently mention friendly service from the bar staff and a clean, tidy interior, while several guests describe the staff as unfriendly, noting a long wait for desserts and tables left dirty. One reviewer complains that the sausages lacked flavor and the Yorkshire pudding was dry, and another describes the carving chef as mean with the meat portions. Despite these issues, the drinks and the bar’s coffee receive praise, and the ample parking and outdoor seating are appreciated. The fudge cake is repeatedly singled out as a great dessert, rounding off the experience for many visitors.

“Stopped off to visit my Father in law on our way up from S. Wales to Yorkshire for a holiday. A chance to celebrate father's Day and fuel up for our on going journey. …”

“Visited for a birthday meal. Fantastic service throughout our visit, particularly from Lisa who was very kind, hard working, and friendly to communicate with. Despite the restaurant being busy, and her managing several tables, she took our orders quickly and didn't keep us waiting. She is a credit to your team. Food was great, very tasty and nice, clean and tidy inside the building. Thank you”

“Came in yesterday after a busy day at work, had to eat in the bar area which didn't bother me. The lady Nina behind the bar was lovely and answered my questions (I haven't been here for a while) food was lovely, especially the fudge cake for afters!! Will definitely be coming back again.”

“Over priced, NO flavour to the susauges (other than oil and water) or the oyher meat, very fattie serving given, Yorkshire pudding so dry they were flakie ! Veg pass done, placed to sit in the isle right next to the que for the carvey so very much on display . Paid over £48 (with a code for kids eat for a £1)for 2 adults and 1 child to eat that, or should i say pick .I should of complained but I didn't want a scene as im on holiday. Honestly the worst carvey I've ever had and I hope the staff realised when the only empty things were our drinking glasses. Just not worth it and ruined out last meal in this area.”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
