“Great room across the road in an annex. Very spacious and comfortable. Brilliant comfy bed. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Excellent food at the bar and pub itself has a great selection of drinks and very cosy and comfortable surroundings. Very nice and quiet village and very well placed to explore the Peak District. Plenty of parking behind the pub.”

“We stopped in at 5pm on a Saturday after our hike and the gentleman at the bar was able to slot us in at a table between reservations. My wife and I had a pair of pints and steak pies while the kids were all happy with their choices. The food was great and the beer was cold. I would definitely stop in again next time we are up this way. Also of note - there is a large parking lot reserved for customers.”

Very friendly and looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely location too, close to beautiful walks and lots of other lovely villages close by. Would definitely stay again.”
