Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the food and coffee, with the cinnamon bun and sourdough named most often. One suggests asking for the bun warmed, and another calls the cinnamon swirl a must buy. Close behind are the halloumi hot honey and avocado sourdough with poached eggs, the French toast and a chicken burger, plus gluten free options described as delicious. Reviewers repeatedly praise the friendly staff and the atmosphere, calling it cosy, with relaxed sofas, a fireplace plaque explaining the name Bothy, and outdoor seating with heaters. Dogs are welcome on the covered patio, and a few visitors on the north coast say they came back twice or more. The main complaint is the queue, which one reviewer warns gets very long, with a wish for QR code ordering or table service. A reviewer who stopped only for a coffee and bun still found the lunches looked good, and the best views are the front seats inside or outside.

“Really great food and I love the atmosphere at Bothy. Prepare for the queues to be very long. It is a shame that they do not have QR codes to order or table service. Otherwise highly recommend!”

“Lovely setting. Best views are seats inside or outside at the front. Seating is alao availble at rear of building. There is a small shop with some local items like candles etc. Only got a coffee and bun but their lunches looked good. Would visit again”

“Such a great place of Respite right by the ocean. We stumbled upon this coffee place during our stay along the Giants Causeway and ended up coming back multiple times! Great food, great views and most of all a great atmosphere helped by the friendly service of the people working here. Be sure to find the plaque by the fireplace to learn about their Philosophy and where the name Bothy comes from. Highly recommend!”
