Customer Review Summary

Food and value draw the most praise, led by the Sunday carvery with roast pork, turkey and beef, fresh vegetables, mash, plenty of gravy and plates sized to appetite. One reviewer recommends the burgers, and others mention generous portions. Drinks get similar comments, including a pint of Thatchers Haze and a local beer described as slightly cheaper. Close behind is the entertainment, with reviewers praising the host's energy, the Bingo and a brilliant Elvis weekend, while kids enjoyed the park. Several call the staff friendly, though one finds the bar staff slow at times and mentions odd comments from waiters. The complaints are specific. One reviewer says crowds blocked every aisle toward the stage on a busy night, which upset a wheelchair user in their party. Another reports an older male staff member insulting them over a football shirt in the drinks queue, and a camper describes security guards taking away drinks and a child's ball. Praise for the carvery still comes back to the stuffing ball and chipolata thrown in with the roasts.

“Absolutely shocking treatment from a male member of staff in his later years with glasses, as soon as I joined the queue for drinks he started throwing insults at me because of the football shirt I was wearing at first I ignored it but it continued relentlessly until the point I had to walk out before things turned nasty, this man has no clue how to treat customers and he was lucky that I'm not a aggressive person, I have been going to this place for 11 years and I have never felt more uncomfortable or unwanted in any establishment I have ever visited, thanks to him the business also lost out on money, they need to have a serious word with him because one day he will say something wrong to a person who might just not walk out.”

“The camping and entertainment was good overall, but all the security guards were intimidating and ruined a birthday as they were following us and took away our drinks and Shouting at a Park full of kids and took a child’s ball. We were only here for one night and not coming back.”
