  “Popped in for a fish tea . First time in the place and asked where I had to go , I was told go through to restaurant part of shop and sit and wait for a waitress. After a few mins a girl arrived and asked me if I wanted a menu I said yes she then came back with one and said when you want to order stand at counter and wait for someone to come to you . I did so and then said I wanted the fish tea but explained I didn't want tea or coffee and asked for a bottle of water , no problem I was told , I also asked if I could have mushy peasy instead of a side salad , I was told no and that mushy peas would be extra on top of the £14.00 charge already ,couldn't believe it, I said I'd just have side salad . Food eventually arrived and with no bottle of water just an almost full glass of tap water , fish and chips ( handful of chips not many) very greasy fish and side salad at best was a desert spoon of shredded lettuce, 1 slice of tomato and one slice of Cucumber .To top this all off I had 1 slice of bread and a cube of butter ,I asked about another slice of bread so I could enjoy a chip butty properly , the girl said she'd check and see and returned to tell me it would be an additional 85 pence , I couldn't believe it I said no chance am I paying 85 p for a slice of bread . ( Calculated a loaf with say 20 slices of bread would cost £17.00 at that rate what a rip off.) Expensive place Buckie obviously !! Chips were ok but not a lot , fish was very greasy and not very big , salad was a joke and bread was 1 slice total disappointment . To top it all off I had an upset stomach all night after eating this I think due to the very greasy fish. Would never go back .”

  “First time here in Buckies Fry Inn, sit in meal for us all, super tasty, the fish scores a nine, almost a 10 on my score, the chips not quite hitting the spot... I ate the lot though 8 out of 10 on my score.”
