Customer Review Summary
Ribs draw the most mentions, and opinions split sharply. Fans praise the full rack with chips, the nachos, large portions and friendly staff, and one says the chef offered a hot sauce sample. Others found ribs dry and hard, brisket tough and tasteless, chicken reheated, and chips cold, while a delivery arrived late with a charcoal-like burger and the restaurant pointed to Just Eat for a refund.

“What a wasted journey…. Really inexperienced young man on reception… young girl was great and she took over as I was about to walk away and she was really helpful and got me sorted … however the food was hurendous, chicken was obviously warmed up in microwave and had absolutely zero taste apart from it was old and pre heated ! Brisket was rubbish absolutely zero taste very tough and poor quality …. Obviously a dying place trying to get the last penny’s before they disappear….im so surprised there are positive reviews, just goes to show you some people’s Standards are extremely poor”

“Absolutely shocking tonight. Ordered at around 7:40pm and after TWO HOURS and two phone calls, we still had no food. It eventually turned up at 10:15pm — nearly 2 and a half hours later!! And after waiting all that time, you’d at least expect the food to be edible. Nope. Chips were stone cold and harder than concrete, the burger looked and tasted like a lump of charcoal and genuinely even my dog wouldn’t eat it 😂 Straight in the bin. Phoned to complain and basically got “sorry, can’t you get a refund through Just Eat? We’re closed now.” Convenient!! Wait until the end of the night to finally deliver our food and then when we complain, you’re closed and it’s someone else’s problem. My partner has worked all day, hadn’t eaten and at 10:30pm was left with no dinner because what we paid for was completely inedible. If you cannot handle the amount of deliveries you’re accepting THEN STOP ACCEPTING THEM. Don’t take people’s money, leave them waiting nearly 2 and a half hours and then send out food that looks like it’s been sitting around since lunchtime. The worst part is this isn’t even the first time. We’ve had ridiculous waits and awful food before but thought every place has its bad days, so we gave them another chance. Well, more fool us!! Won’t be making that mistake again. When the food is actually cooked properly and arrives at a reasonable time it can be really nice, which makes it even more frustrating. But ordering from here has basically become a gamble and tonight we definitely lost. Nearly 2 and a half hours waiting just to put £30+ worth of food straight in the bin. Never again.”

“Ive seen lots of good posts about this place, so we booked a table but ohhhh we were so wrong. To start with they had lost their drinks licence but did allow us to grab a bottle from the shop next door. We ordered our food and only had a 15 to 20 minute wait which is about normal. My daughter ordered the sausage with chips, the guy bought it over in a silly yellow plastic basket, just not the most appropriate to eat out of, chips were okay but the sausage was a cheap and cheerfully deep fried, not what you would expect from a BBQ Smoke House, my son had the bacon burger with chips, he did say it was ok but didn't get any impression it was cooked on a BBQ. My wife asked for the chicken and shrimp and ended up with ribs with shrimp, when we mentioned this all we got from the guy was "well I got ribs on my notes" and pretty much just walked off, I went for the £30.00 plater for 1 as being in a Smoke house you got to try it all, this was the mosf disappointing meal I had in Broadstairs, The pork and brisket was just over a bite or two, I gave the small chicken thigh to my wife as she's not a lover of the ribs, and what was the most funny thing was when the guy gave us steak knives, it wasn't until I tried eating the ribs i realise why he gave them to us, I've never had ribs so dry and hard, at this point i just gave up with a whole meal and couldn't wait to really leave. We was asked how the meal was and I did say its not really what we were expected from a Smoke House, the food wasn't the greatest and portion were on the small. Overall not impressed what so ever.”

“Have been here to eat a few times now. Food is always insanely good. Staff are welcoming and accommodating and always willing to help with any issues. I like that you can see the chefs cooking as it makes it feel more immersive. Everything seems clean inside. It has plenty lf outdoor seating which is perfect for summer. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice meal for any occasion.”
