Customer Review Summary

Reviewers come mainly for the retro arcade machines. Pinball tables are singled out as well maintained, and Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Outrun 2, Time Crisis, Point Blank 2 and Mario Kart are among those named. Close behind is the bar, where several praise friendly, knowledgeable staff and game-themed cocktails, with the peach on the beach called delicious. The low lighting suits many, though one reviewer calls the place dark and dingy and another found the sticky floors and extra single steps hard to judge in the dimness. Complaints centre on volume and pace. Two reviewers say the hip-hop speakers drown out the game sounds, and one compares the music to a nightclub even with only a few groups inside. Another found drinks very slow to arrive. One first-time visitor met blunt staff, a racing cabinet that swallowed tokens and a dance machine that instantly failed them. A couple wish the game lineup rotated more. One group was handed extra coins when a machine broke down.

“Very slow to get drinks a bit hard to stand up cause I’m disabled with sticks at the bar but very pleasant to watch the girls make all the cocktails and drinks and the atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone was friendly. It was a really good night. It’s just a bar speed let it down.”

“Came in with my daughter and Finn (same name as my little girl) was above and beyond in what we expected, for me at least, for video games with my daughter … unbelievable service, to our soft drinks served, his explanation of how games work, aid, and even giving me his phone, cos embarrassingly my phone died and I demanded a positive review - but yes, great place, great staff! We loved it.”

“The atmosphere was dark and dingy...perfect for blasting my way through Point Blanc 2! It has it's usually arcade machines like Outrun 2, Time Crisis, Tetris, PAC Man. I thought the selection of classic machines was much smaller compared to Manchester's. I was delighted to try Tapper, with it's rather blatant Budweiser endorsement! It still hasn't made me want to drink that stuff. I'd sooner drink out of a bin!”

“Went here yesterday and have to say the bar staff were a vibe ! I think that makes or breaks an experience! Special shoutout to the gent on there at around 4/5. He was matching the energy and gave great service to everyone I saw him serve ! j always love NQ64 but I’ve had a poor experience at a previous venue and I’ll definitely be returning. The venue is also sick I’ve always thought it’s such a great idea ! Thanks to all the team!”

“Awesome gaming arcade retro bar 🍸 Needs a n64 back or a nintendo wii lol. Arcade games could do with a lil rotation I go there monthly it would be nice for a lil change up now n then . Also 1 more thing turn that loud music speaker off underneath the games consoles I want 2 hear the games volumes rather than uncensored hip hop rap music .”
