About The Three Horseshoes
The Three Horseshoes is a thatched pub on Mill St in Bridport, set in Burton Bradstock. Inside, it keeps the low ceilings of a traditional English pub, and local beers and ales are on tap. The kitchen cooks with local, seasonal ingredients, and the Sunday roast comes with a choice of roast beef or a nut roast for vegetarians. Cauliflower cheese and leek gratin arrive alongside the roast. Reservations are required, and tables can be booked online. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the Sunday roast, with the beef described as tender and pink and the vegetarian nut roast called stunning and flavoursome, plus cauliflower cheese and leek gratin included with the roast. Close behind is the seafood, including a seafood ploughman's with locally smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pate, whitebait and prawns, and Cornish sole and monkfish with oysters. A few also mention a Pad Thai and sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. Local ales on tap and a dog friendly garden come up repeatedly, and the staff are described as friendly and quick. The recurring trade-offs are practical: several say booking is needed for a table inside, parking can be tricky on narrow streets, taller visitors have to duck through low doorways, and one found an air-conditioning hum in the beer garden. One group who booked ahead for a birthday found a signed card and a chocolate horseshoe waiting at the table.

“Outstanding. What a beautiful pub. Excellent food and superb service. So friendly and welcoming - and dogs galore. Words can't do justice to how relaxing and enjoyable our lunch experience was in their garden...one of the best...”

“We visited for the first time for lunch at the end of a week’s holiday in the area. The attention to detail of all aspects of this pub was first class. From the convenience of online table booking to the welcome and the swift service. We ordered Cornish sole and monkfish with oysters to start let me tell you it was all amazing, first class and thoughtfully put together plates of food at the right temperature ( which is rare in the current state of the UKs hospitality offering)”

“Pretty pub in the village with a traditional feel. The food looked amazing, we were only visiting for drinks. Great service. Nice garden with seating. Customer toilets and dog friendly.”

“Very well presented and tasty supper. I had never eaten a seafood ploughman's before. It included locally smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pate, half a pint of crispy whitebait, big fat prawns, pickles and sauces, sourdough bread and a salad. Good value too. Good Pad Thai and excellent STP with clotted cream. Lovely staff. Beer garden had the sound of air-conditioning or something which slightly spoilt the warm evening air.”

“Went for dinner with my family. The food was beautiful (and this is coming from a massive food snob). Was lovely and clean and the waitresses were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. Highly recommend whether it’s just for a drink or something to eat. Also very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere.”
