  “Lovely meal today as a table of 8. One of which was a lively toddler. The food was lovely I don’t think I can say anything bad. The service was amazing. Oscar - what a credit to your restaurant. Lively toddler tipped my drink all over me - he couldn’t do enough to help. He was really friendly with all the kids and helped us out with all our silly demands for tea spoons and straws etc. it makes a huge difference especially when you are dining with kids to have someone like Oscar serving you. Patient and kind. Thank you Oscar”

  “Some of the food was a bit tired and dry looking, having said that it all tasted good. I do think the teas and coffees and children's (as much as you can drink) was maybe a bit pricey but again all you can eat was excellent value. Overall well worth the cost.”

  “Came here after being let down by another venue that had sold out of roasts at 1pm on a Sunday.. shocking! We were lucky to get a table as there were 8 of us, with no booking, and the place was packed out. Luckily the manager squeezed us in. The carvery was fresh, hot and there was a great choice of meats and vegetables. The roast was exactly what you want from a carvery — juicy meat, plenty of gravy and all the classic sides. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Everything was well presented and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a good traditional Sunday roast!”

  “Good evening me and my wife and my son who's 20 and has got autism visited your Toby carvery around 15:30 today we had 3 regular carvery dinners and 3 soda refill drinks the food was lovely and fresh and hot .. my son did struggle a bit with the beef being slightly chewy and the kind chef at the hot counter gladly changed the beef for the gammon with no problem and my son was very happy.. just want to thank the manager and the team for their hard work this afternoon...the food was delicious... atmosphere was great... great service by everyone ☺️ thank you once again Mr and Mrs Wallace.”

  “25/07/2026 :Been using this establishment for about 15 years now regularly and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal , took the family to and my lamb dinner was just stunning, great amount of meat that was so tasty, the veg cooked perfectly. Staff were brilliant. If you want a roast dinner look no further that toby bridgend.”

  “Well what can i say about the Toby it is an absolute pleasure to go and have food there the food is beautiful we are there every Wednesday without fail the staff treat us with the up most respect and are so polite to us the waitresses are always willing to help with what ever we need they take pride in knowing what there customers want as soon you walk through the door the waitresses always goes out of their way to make sure we are happy with everything i cannot fault any of the staff to be honest I would recommend the Toby in bridgend to anyone who loves their roast dinner. 1 particular waitress whose name is Rhiannon is very polite and makes sure everything is ok with the food, etc I’ve also taken my autistic son there and she goes above and beyond for us to make sure everything is ok I could never thank her enough. I’ve even had a takeaway container without any hesitation because if I can’t eat it all I take it home for my dog so it don’t go to waste x”

  “With Toby Carvery for me, the food is just above average at best, but serves as a convenient place to eat on occasions. As I came for breakfast, there was no service involved, so I can't comment on this. In general the atmosphere is quite calm with the obvious noisier party every now again.”

  “Visited Toby carvery last week with my family. Lady showed me from the door to my table, Naomi. She was very polite and helpful she took a drinks order and brought them straight over to the table. Rhiannon was my server she was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Food was great! Well worth the visit. Overall very happy with the service and would definitely recommend”

  “Had such a lovely experience at Toby Carvery thanks to our server Keelan. He was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble and he really made us feel welcome. The food was amazing as always, but the excellent service from Keelan made the experience even better. Definitely deserves recognition for how hardworking and polite he is. Will definitely be coming back”
