Quick info
About BRGR
BRGR is a hamburger restaurant in Bridgend, on Nolton St, run as a street food hall with four kitchens under one roof: BRGR, UMAMI, CLWB MEXICANA and SIWGR. Diners can mix and match dishes from across all four kitchens at the same table, so one order can combine a burger, ramen and a Mexican street food plate. The menu runs well beyond burgers, with Welsh beef smash burgers at the centre and loaded fries such as the bad boy fries with cheese sauce alongside. Homemade desserts finish the menu. Dogs are welcome inside. Tables can be booked, and Sunday lunch is served as a share platter.

Reviewers most often mention chicken tenders, smash burgers, brisket and loaded fries.
Customer Review Summary
The complaints are significant and cluster in recent delivery orders. Reviewers describe bland burgers with no seasoning, a dry beef burger lacking smash crispness, soggy buns caked in mustard, a soggy taco, and grainy cheese sauce on loaded fries. Brisket loaded fries arrived swamped in gravy with little beef, and one reviewer feels quality slipped after the renovation. A Sunday lunch platter had a thin gravy.

“Absolutely brilliant place had the best chicken burger i have ever had and the staff were amazing”

“Absolutely fantastic! We ordered the Chicken Strip Family Box from BRGR in Bridgend and it was brilliant. The chicken strips were crispy on the outside, tender and full of flavour, and there was plenty of food for the whole family. Everything was fresh, tasty, and really well prepared. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and it made for a perfect family meal. We will definitely be ordering from BRGR again. Highly recommend!”

“Shocking quality – never ordering again I used to think the food here was of a much better standard,( NOT SURE WHY) but tonight's meal was an absolute disaster. I ended up leaving about two-thirds of the entire order because it was so unappetising. The brisket loaded fries were a soggy mess of heavy gravy and sauce with almost no actual beef. Instead, I found two massive, disgusting pieces of thick skin and fat mixed into the box.( IMAGES BELOW) The BBQ chicken burger did not even contain a proper chicken breast, just random chicken pieces layered in an excessive amount of sauce. Meanwhile, the beef burger was incredibly dry, lacked any of the crispness you expect from a smashed burger, and was completely flavourless. To top it off, I have since found out that this BRGR currently holds a food hygiene rating of 2 🤢. Given the terrible quality of what i was served tonight, that low rating makes complete sense. I certainly will not be ordering from here again. I genuinely feel sick and I ordered on just eat so no chance of getting a refund for this order.”

“We had the Sunday lunch. It was lovely. A little overpriced for a share platter (£25 per person) and the gravy was a bit thin, but everything else was really nice.”

“Delicious food. The smash burgers were packed with flavour, the fries were spot on and you can tell they actually care about the quality of the food they put out. Portion sizes are generous, staff were friendly and the whole place had a really good atmosphere. Easily one of the best burger spots I’ve tried in Wales. Definitely coming back”
