Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the big portions of chicken katsu, which several describe as packed into the bowl until the lid barely closes, served with rice or noodles. Teriyaki salmon, spicy beef, sweet chilli chicken with noodles, the shrimp gyoza set and sweet and sour chicken also draw praise, and a few call it good value, with one saying a menu for two stretched across a second day's lunch and dinner. The sushi selection gets a mention, though one reviewer calls a takeaway sushi box the worst they have eaten, saying it fell apart and was hard to pick up with chopsticks, and that extra soya sauce sachets cost 10p each. Delivery draws the sharpest complaints. One customer says sweet and sour chicken arrived repeatedly without the vegetables, another found a hair in chicken katsu and reports no reply from the restaurant for over a week, and a third had two of three spring rolls badly burned. One lunch customer describes a six minute udon wait stretching much longer and staff handling katsu with a bare hand. A diner notes tables were slightly sticky and the chicken teriyaki could have been hotter.

“I’ve ordered chicken in sweet and sour sauce with vegetables and rice for delivery several times, and every time I receive only chicken with rice, without any vegetables. I’m very disappointed once again, and I will never order from you again.”

“I found a hair in my chicken katsu and have contacted them via Deliveroo from which I ordered it through and have had no reply for over a week let alone any compensation as I was not able to eat the food I paid for. Appalling”

“Have only 30mins for lunch break. The girl who serves me said 6mins waiting for Udon. It was only me and other 2 girls with rice order. Then my 6mins wait turned out 16mins as they obviously forgot my Udon getting cold in the kitchen. The girl must in her little world to decide use her barehand to pick up my chicken katsu :) very concern about their Food Hygiene standard now. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for no veggie but my noodles cup looked so plain... where all my seaweed or spring onions garnish? Cut down for cheap cost saving? Staff said they should all be inside but must be in my imagination then. Defo not coming back! So disappointed and waste of money.”

“Literally just had two meals at Kokoro. We had the chicken katsu curry with noodles, which was really good. I had the chicken teriyaki, it was good but could have been hotter and had a bit more flavour. Tables slightly sticky. Service was fine.”

“Don't expect fine dining, it's a good takeaway place with small seating area. Food was amazing with large portions, good taste and value for money. Would recommend Sweet chilli chicken with noodles.”
