About Helch Market | Food Hall & Bar
Helch Market is a food hall and bar at 3 Gervis Pl in Bournemouth, with several independent kitchen stalls under one roof. Loco Lime serves birria tacos alongside burritos and quesadillas. Rango makes smash burgers, including a pulled pork version, and lets diners build their own burger from a choice of toppings. Wrapped Up covers chicken shawarma wraps, thick milkshakes and fresh juice smoothies. Because the stalls run separately, a group can order from different kitchens and eat together. Downstairs, a basement bar pours draught beer, cider, spirits and cocktails, and it hosts regular live music and events.

Customer Review Summary
Loco Lime's tacos draw the most praise, from the birria tacos to the juiciest tacos one reviewer has had, alongside crispy-outside, soft-inside chips, quesadillas, a rice bowl and a burrito. Close behind are Rango's smash burgers and Brazilian hot dogs topped with sweetcorn and peas and sealed with cheese, plus a pulled pork smash burger and a build-your-own option. Wrapped Up gets mentions for a crisp chicken shawarma wrap and thick milkshakes. Several call the portions filling and the value reasonable, and a few like the vibes and the music, though one finds the space smaller than expected with fewer choices. The complaints are specific. One diner found the flat iron steak leathery and drowning in peppercorn sauce, with tacos they would rather not discuss, and another said the loaded fries had unseasoned beef and chicken that tasted like warm cardboard. A vegetarian burrito arrived with only avocado, salad and rice after the beans ran out.

“Food was shit. Don’t get the loaded fries from loco lime. Unseasoned beef and chicken, tasted like warm cardboard.”

“First and last time. Three meals meas £60 and to say less than impressed is an understatement. Flat iron steak was served up on a few chips and drowning in peppercorn source. Steak was like leather and for £19.50 was just a rip off. Chicken tenders were undercooked and were left on plate . I won’t mention the tacos ! I really wanted to like this new venue and don’t mind paying good money for fast food but this was just poor on a whole lot of fronts”

“Casual place, with three options. Burgers, Mexican , wraps. The vibe was nice, something for a younger crowd. The place is much smaller than it seems. I expected there to be many more choices. We got the Mexican food, I got some tacos and my friends got burritos. We really enjoyed the food however my friend ordered the vegetarian burrito but the restaurant ran of beans so it was just avocado, salad and rice. It would’ve been good to provide an alternative protein that was vegetarian. Affordable too.”

“Currently 3 of the 4 kitchens are open and having tried all of them I can thoroughly recommend each. From Loco lime we have had tasty and fresh tacos, quesadillas, rice bowl and burrito. From Tango's the perfect crispy edged smash burgers in soft fluffy buns. From Wrapped Up thick icream milkshakes, fresh juice smoothies and a tasty, crisp shawarma chicken wrap. Definitely worth a visit!”
