About Mama Roux's
Mama Roux's is a night club in Birmingham, at 3 Lower Trinity St, that serves slow-cooked BBQ alongside live music. The venue spreads across several rooms, each with its own sound. A diner-style room with booths is where guests order food and cocktails, and a flowery courtyard out the back has its own DJ. A dark, rave-style room has a DJ too, while a live band covers the other side of the music. On Friday and Saturday nights the house band takes the stage. Cocktails come with a happy hour, which suits an evening that starts with food in the booths and moves on to the dance rooms. The calendar also includes day raves and bottomless brunch.

Customer Review Summary
Live music is what reviewers return to most, with a live band playing old school 80s on a Saturday, live acts in every room on another night, and a house band one reviewer calls very good. DJ sets come close behind, from a dark rave room with bass you can feel to a second DJ in the courtyard, and one first-time day raver says he did not stop dancing. Reviewers also describe diner-style booths for food and cocktails, and one calls the food great, though a few did not eat. Door and bar staff are called friendly, and the bar is described as quick even when busy. The few complaints concern the building itself. One reviewer says the toilets are like an ice skating rink, and another describes a dark grimy feel. Several note quiet in-between areas for talking away from the music, and free water at any of the bars.

“Had a fun time dancing while a live band played. Never went before last Saturday and it was busy but really funky vibes. Will definitely go back as soon as I get the time. Even went for a dance at the rave for a bit but had to go as was up early Sunday.”

“I'm 63 and I'd never been to a day rave before. What's an introduction ! I'd never been to this venue and the welcome at the door was was great, the bar staff were fantastic... even though they were extremely busy ! The crowd was just awesome, my kind of people.❤️💙 The DJs were phenomenal and I didn't stop dancing from the minute I walked in. My wife suggested this day out for us and I love it when we're going somewhere and I really don't know what to expect. Well it exceeded all my expectations, just a fantastic experience from start to finish, Thank you Mama Roux's 💙”

“Mama Roux's is fab Cannot recommend a better place for a safe night out in Birmingham Free entry before midnight most nights. You can join Club Mama and get a member pass and updates on what's happening/ what's on. There are 3 different rooms/ areas with music in each. Saturday had a live band playing old school 80's, A banging DJ set in a dark night club type area with bass you can feel for dancing and another DJ in the courtyard. Plenty of quiet in-between areas to talk away from music, smoke/vape etc. Water and Soda water is freely available at any of the bars to keep hydrated too. I haven't tried any food there, so can't comment. Overall I love this place. Hi-light for me was seeing one of my favourite artists "girli' play live here.”
