About Tin Tin Food Hall Birmingham
Tin Tin Food Hall Birmingham is a food court in Birmingham on Masshouse, open daily, with seven or eight stalls serving mostly Cantonese and Hong Kong-style food. Auntie's Special Dumplings makes hand-made dumplings and wonton, and Golden Field Cafe serves Hong Kong street food and noodle soup with a drink. A roast meat stall sits alongside another that makes its buns fresh at the stall. Menus and signs are mostly in Chinese, with large photos of the food and some English words to point from. Payment varies by stall, and some have no card machine, so bring cash or be ready to pay by online transfer. Seating is limited, stall staff clear the tables, and there can be a bit of waiting.

Customer Review Summary
Dumplings are the most frequent draw at this Cantonese-leaning Chinese food hall, with reviewers praising the hand-made dumplings and spicy rice noodle soup from one stall, and a seafood and noodle soup that one diner called really good. Close behind, one reviewer credits another stall for superior wok hei and Hong Kong street food, while another calls its tofu and chicken ball dish better than what they ate while living in China. The roast meat stall and freshly made buns also get mentions, though one finds the bun pastry a little thick. Reviewers also describe a veganised Mapo Tofu made when the chef modified the dish on request. Complaints are more specific than general. One reviewer says the tteokbokki was overcooked, lacked the spice ordered, and the ramen turned mushy. Another calls the wonton overpriced, and several mention little seating, odd chairs and tables, and messy tables that one suggests need a full-time cleaner. Some note that menus are mostly in Chinese, though large food photos help. Several vendors reportedly lack card machines, so one reviewer was given details to send a transfer manually.

“Excellent dumplings! Place doesn’t look very fancy but the food is good!”

“This was honestly one of the worst tteokbokki meals I’ve had. It looked nothing like the picture, and the taste was just as bad. The tteokbokki was so overcooked that it had completely lost its signature chewy texture. I ordered it extra spicy, yet there was barely any spice at all. The ramen was also overcooked and turned into a mushy mess. It honestly looked like the tteok had already been bitten before it was cooked. The whole dish was poorly prepared, lacked any real flavor, and was nothing like what was advertised. A complete waste of money—I definitely won’t be ordering from here again.”

“Travelling from Kent to Birmingham for term break get-away. Came across this food court which was absolutely fantastic. All the Hong Kong food are authentic and worth the price. And they have large range of food options. Lung Chu Bing Sat: superior wok hei, Ice-bean drink Golden field cafe: you can get noodle soup+veggie and drink below £10, delicious Hong Kong street food below £4 Auntie Special Dumplings: all the hand-made traditional dumplings and spicy rice noodles soup are just amazing. Definitely will come back next time when traveling to Birmingham again.”

“Random little Chinese food hall with 7/8 food stalls. Was quiet when I went in. But imagine there's a fair amount of deliveries from here! The place I got food from was decent and all cooked fresh. No card machine so bring cash or be prepared to do an online transfer!”
